sarah lee I'm all for waiting until they're financially stable but this "they want him to go another path in life that gives him more of a chance of success" I find extremely frustrating. Parents have to realize that their kids are not put on this Earth to follow the plan they've laid out for them. He should feel free to pursue whatever career he wants and it's unfortunate that his mother doesn't support him.

Idk if he should stop or not. Killing a kid's dream is not really nice but they have financial problems, the mom is tired from driving him so far and the kid doesn't go to school often :/ He's pretty good but yea..

It actually made me cry seeing the boy perform cheerleading. He is so passionate about it, I am a cheerleading as well having your family saying that you're not good and crushing your dreams are sooooo heartbreaking. He is so young did his mom to expect him to be crazy good. They are literally doing level 3 cheerleading, some older kids can't even do properly. What's wrong with being a national cheerleader, you represent your country and you can even be a coach in the future. I have many friends that are coach, they are still very successful.

cheer in asia is not as popular as in the us, like where i live. its not very popular as well. but whenver i go overseas and compete, i've met sooo many korean national cheerleaders. if he is really passionate about it, he can also be a tumbling coach or even join the olympics if he is really good. there are many options actually, not only being a cheerleading coach.

I honestly think the cheerleader kid should be an idol. He just looks like it.

The parents in the first concern get on my nerves. Okay he may not be fit and is tired and can't do his homework, but telling him he isn't good is not at all good for his self-esteem. They really should learn to praise their son because HE IS GOOD. Like are they blind? He's so good? And then they say he's not to everyone? If that was me I would feel so embarrassed. FIX YO ATTITUDE PLEASE AND THANKYOU.

i agree so much! this children bashing thing seems to be too common there. In western country parents usually try to support their children telling them how great and beautiful they are, even when they're not. It doesn't make these children full of themselves but helps them to build up self esteem

I agree 100%, I'm a cheerleader and what they did isn't what most kids can do. At that level and age, you can keep getting better and go on to better teams. Some cheerleaders are paid too. I think his parents should be lucky that he's talented and support him. It's so sad to hear them keep saying he's out of shape, etc.

I feel bad for the cheerleader boy. He got potential. Just because he lives far it became burden to the whole family huhuhu

The little boy is soo cute and I think it's great how he is good at what he likes ! I wish I would have been a bit more like him when I was his age ^^ His family should support him even tho it's hard :)

I feel bad for the boy who likes cheerleading. He said that all parents think their kids are the worst. Sure, it sounded funny how he said it, but actually, it hurts his self-esteem. He's passionate about it, just let him do what he wants. Not all people are supposed to study well and become government officials. Some excel in other areas.

The first concern really isn't a concern...the parents want him to have a government job and the daughter wants the parents to herself. The son just wants to do cheerleading, let him.

U_Cant_See_Me​ you have to be in their shoes to understand. Sure he should pursue his dream but he needs to compromise too. His parents are not wealthy, but they still let him do his cheerleading and saying that the sister is selfish is a bit harsh, they have three kids in their family but the mother put times and effort only for her son, so it's understandable for the sister to feel left out. I really hope they figure something out to let the kid pursue his dream without hurting the family in general.

Circumstances don't always allow one to pursue one's dream. 1. He isn't the only child that they need to raise. 2. The family isn't well off. 3. Cost of travel around is expensive. He said that he understands about what his parents told him about the situation, but clearly he doesn't with his "silent rebellion" as one of the MC said. I don't expect a 10 years old to be able to think, much less critically, which is also why I don't expect any parents to follow through with their child's so called "dream" if circumstances said otherwise. I'm not saying that I agree with the methods that the family have used to try to get the kid to quit his dream, but essentially it is still a concern worth addressing.

There has to be another way.... everyone is looking at the situation as though there are only two choices. If he doesn't pursue his dream, he could live with resentment for his family for the rest of his life.

In the third concern the friend was soo beautiful!! It's so rare to see such a healthy tan Korean!! She reminds me of the beautiful Nada.

+shikasgirl08 That's just what you see in the media though. :) In villages and small cities they don't care much about lighter skin. The majority of Koreans are actually tan.

"All parents think their children are the worst" Seriously? What a jaded thing to say, that's so sad. Shouldn't it be that all parents think their children are the best? I feel sorry for him, but I also feel sorry for his Mother. Having to drive all that way etc. Maybe the Dad should stop staying out late drinking and wash those uniforms, clean the house and cook some food.

Wow that first concern is ridiculous,the whole family is the only real concern. I would walk to the ends of the earth for my kid. He loves it so much! And he's really good at it. They need to have better time management for him, missing school is no excuse, he just needs to cut back a bit. Stop neglecting your other daughter! Growing up is hard enough, can't imagine doing it alone. The dad should help out more around the house so that the mom isn't so stressed and the little boy can continue to be a great cheerleader one day. I hope he goes far.

I got slightly annoyed at those people who said 'you can just ignore what others say' in the last concern. It's not that easy. When you say it, it might sound easy, just blocking what you hear out, but when it actually happens to them, I'm sure these people won't be saying the same thing. I myself is a victim of all this criticism, and it's really tough. I try my hardest to ignore these stuff, but sometimes its just too overwhelming. Imagine this.. You know that you don't look very good. You don't need other people to drill it into you right? You're already feeling very bad about it, and there, people are just criticising you. In this case, the woman didn't even do anything wrong! She's really pretty and there, people are criticising her because she has a sharp and pretty nose. TBH, sometimes society is unreasonable. People laugh at others who don't look good, yet criticise others who look good. People out there, STOP judging. You don't know how it feels to be criticised like that.

Exactly!!!! Why would she be there if it was easy for her to ignore what people say to her or about her???!!! She went on the show so that she lets them know she didn't get cosmetic surgery cause she couldn't stand those people who were talking shit about her.

The firs concern was rubbish in my opinion. He was so passionate about cheerleading, it gets him exercise and he was sooo good at it! Hwaiting!

when you have a child your own, you'd realize it's not as easy to do what you think now. there're lots of concerns, priorities. they have other daughter and the youngest is still a baby, whilst supporting the son passion requires lots of money. parents only think about the best for their children, it's totally relatable and understandable esp if you consider the working and school environment there. having a stable job requires a very good grade, it's the safest way for him to keep pursuing his dream while being financially stable. keep staying away from your schools friends, you'd be bullied, so he still have to socialize with his peers. while yes he's passion is admirable, in real life, there are more things than your dream... idk what to say, but i think the family should sort out all their problems again, and probably find out whether there is closer place for practice cheerleading. all the best for them.

It seemed like all the reasons why the parents wanted the cheerleader kid to quit were excuses. The parents can't afford to keep him in cheerleading. Between the time spent traveling and financial strain on the family I don't even get why they were on the show. It sucks for the little boy, but he won't be able to continue. Hopefully he can find a sport he can do in his own city that isn't so expensive that he can be passionate about.

At first, when I read the first concern, I was anxious that the mom will say that cheerleading is a sport for girls or that she was worried that he will turn out gay or sthg else stupid like that. But thankfully, she's actually quite open minded on the subject and her concerns are really understandable! (Distance, bad grades,...) Hwaiting mum! At least, he's not passionate by video games!lol

By that way boy with the haircut is adorable, liked when he said, "of course I'm a boy". First concern the cheering boy is cute can you imagine when he gets older. He's got a face for the camera should encourage him to get into acting probably have to travel to Seoul for any training. The family just needs to better organize their time father needs to stop drinking help the wife.

For the third concern, oh my God, such a beautiful life she has. Even a beautiful nose God given to her become her concern. Ma'am, do u know that living in this world, people talks about everything. No matter u did good or u did wrong, people talks. U can't stop them from speaking up, but doesn't mean hearing their comments makes ur life become sad and sour. So, please dont sweat over the small things.

I still prefer other celebrities, because they are worth it and this show isnt all about seeing your idol/celebrity. It is more than that to koreans and international fans. Thank you ^^

I'm addicted to this fun program. Koreans seem so at ease discussing their issues and are very good at putting into words how they feel. Even the children seem so open and good conversationally. I cant imagine getting in front of the crowd, the cameras, the celebrities and not feeling intimidated and unable to express myself confidently. Love how very easily they use humor and are able to laugh without embarrassment at all sorts of comments and observations. Oh and I have to say that Park Eun-Ji is soooooooo pretty!

coming from a cheerleader myself, it is definitely much of a workload for cheer parents. my mom is a working scientist, and I go to cheer almost everyday. she is a single mom with two kids, so she has to take care of my brother and I, while taking my to cheer so often. cheerleading is a sport that once you get into, you can't stop. I know exactly how the little boy feels. it is one of those activities that you absolutely hate, but love at the same time, because the achievements are so rewarding, after all the conditioning and hard work. when my mom told me I had to quit, I was really upset and I would cry almost everyday. I know this may just make me sound like I'm overreacting, but no, cheer is a part of my life I couldn't live without. so I tried everything I could to persuade my mom to let me continue, and even though it would be hard for her, she let me. and since her decision, my mother has never regretted it. Cheer is very rewarding. I guarantee it.

The little boy cheerleader is so adorable and he's really good. They kept saying how he's not fit but he's only 10. He'll be in a lot better shape once he hits puberty.

Cheerleading kid. You go and do your stuff. If someone has the will, theres a way to get it done. He could go find a gym or some place to train his fitness or maybe find some b boys to learn tumbling and other things like that. I'm sure there is bboying in busan.

The 2nd concern. I would have scream at her, not answering her calls, have it on silent, not answering her stupid Q, if she becomes physical with me I would have beat her up. I'm sorry but I don't care her reason for doing it, is really irritating. I have 2 big sisters and I can understand her older sister a lot. That concern ticked me off. "she acts like a husband" husbands shouldn't act like that ether, is too much.

***** the worst thing is that the little sister made her big sister's life horrible, because she didn't have much freedom like her ? because she doesn't have a BF ? the younger one can't have it so her sister can't have it ether. that's really low. I have fought with my big sister so many times when we were young (in a way u couldn't imagine) but I wouldn't go that far. It's selfish... To me, shes obsessed.

The kid from the first concern is really cute! But the concern itself, isn't really a concern. Besides, he's only 10, by the time he reaches his teens he might not even like cheerleading. And even if he does at least he'd be happy doing it, we can obviously tell he did not like the idea of working as a police officer or anything similar to that. I'd rather have my child be happy doing what he loves then be depressed doing something he has no intreats in.

the different asian parent and western parent is asian always told their kids to be doctor,lawyer, or engineer. and western told their kids to be everything they wanna be

I know right. I can relate to that kid from the 1st concern, because my life is more or less similar and I used to live abroad with a foreign family. The way the parents there and the parents in Asia treat their kids' dreams is totally different. The boy seems determined with the cheerleader thingy, too bad his parents go against his precious dream just because it doesnt earn him much money in the future.

Now, imagine if she was ugly, would you put her picture there? Nope, I don't think so. Basically, they just want to be accepted into society/loved/admired. Concern 1: some said it's not even a concern but i disagree. While it's the right course to support the kid's dream, the parents have not only 1 kid, but 3. While the mom focuses on that 1 kid, she can't help having less time with the older sister n husband, n less financial for family. The family already sacrificed enough w/ their savings. But the way the parents want him to stop chasing his dream by telling he's got no talent sucks big time. N their wanting him 2b sth different is a big no no.

The mom in the first concern should've just said that their son was putting them in a difficult position money-wise with the cheerleading lessons because that's a proper concern, not come onto the show and said "oh my son's cheerleading is driving me nuts and I don't even think he's that good so he should stop" because that's just selfish.

The kid in the first concern is a beat. His really oblivious to his parents struggles and doesn't appreciate them

I can relate to the first concern of the boy wanting to do something he really love and he really like but because of parents. But i really hope he understand that sometimes the love of a family can still overcome anything if his parents do it in a right way rather than just stopping him because of school. Sometimes the job the parent want them to do isn't what the child wants. You don't tell your child to give up by telling that he isn't good enough to be one. They need to learn one step at a time! I understand the mom with the first concern. My little sister is really into dancing, but the lessons are far and it does cost money. Although, my sister is aware of this and she know she would have to quit when my mom tells her to. That doesn't mean she'll stop dancing forever, she just wont get lessons.

He shouldn't go during the school week, but only on the weekends. manybe he can spend the weekends with the other boy cheerleader. but that's it. that way the mother can rest, the daughter can speak to her mother, the son will study, and still be able to go to practice, just not as much.

For the sister who is obsessed with her sister... Im literally like her. My sister is 6 years older than me but I honestly treat her as if she's my friend. We are really close and always do everything together. I often get jealous when she goes out with her friends I seriously can't bear to imagine her to get married. So I really understand the younger sister. I wished the older sister would understand her better but of course, the younger seriously have to chill down. Hahhahaha!!

It is already 2021 and I wonder if that cheerleader boy got into National Cheerleading squad. Its a shame because I think that "2020" Olympic that they talked about was postponed because of the pandemic :(((

The first concern is indeed a concern for the mom and also the boy. From the mom's perspective, the boy is not fit, he isn't doing well in school, she has to spend more time and money on him and as a mother of course she is always worried sending his 10 years old boy every week away to Seoul. From the boy's perspective he is happy and enjoy doing it and it's his dream. But I am siding the parents. Not in terms of how they are handling the matter, but in terms of how the boy's passion affected the family. Even the sister is influenced by it. The parents could try to open new perspective for him for example expose him to other activities like sports or arts with facilities in Busan at least. For the boy, if he still insists in pursuing his dream, maybe he could persuade his parents by doing good at both, school and also cheerleading. School is more important!

the nose concern, i guess it could be stressful because south korea is the one main place for plastic surgery ! so everyones just obsessed with it and wanting a great plastic surgeon for a nose like that & etc

I think the one that need to be a concern is the parent of the cheerleader boy. How can a parent discouraging and bashing their children like that 😭 If you think it's hard for the boy than you have to give him your support not adding his pressure. So heart breaking to see a parent like that.

You didn't hear the mom and dad not having enough money to support a family with a 3 year old? Money doesn't appear just because someone has passion.

I get that they're financially in a bad spot but discouraging him like this is how dreams are killed :/ I hope he's doing well right now

I feel like the first one is a concern for the parents, they have a hard time financially & the mother seemed stressed as well, I think its nice her son has a passion for something but I feel as though he should try to understand his moms situation. He still young but children learn well from the things around them :)
