Hellenistic Gold Ring Discovered in the City of David
A gold ring set with a precious stone from 2,300 years ago was discovered during excavations by the @Israel
@IsraelAntiquities and @telavivuniversity in the City of David National Park. The small ring was discovered by one of the excavators during the sifting of archaeological rubble from the excavation at the Givati Parking Lot in the City of David. According to researchers, the gold ring likely belonged to a young girl or teenager due to its small diameter.

Archeologists dig Israel! 😽😽 When you visit Jerusalem, I recommend the tours of Ir Dovid (City of David). But be forewarned that it is a difficult walk for some. Still it is worth your time.
I’d love to spend my days sifting dirt there in Jerusalem.
