I accept it tbh, for the most part Sony has been OK so far on Steam and their games are welcome as long as they don't try to pull bs like that again.

Logic: We want the players link/create an account in PSnetwork to play Helldivers, so we can put some skins as reward, or credits, or somethin to encorage the players to do it. And that is why people, you don't make major controversial decisions on a Friday. Negative opinion last longer as decisions can only be fixed by Monday at the earliest. HD2 was easily GOTY 2024 but Sony (and Arrowhead to a certain extent) bottled so hard that the trust they had built up will never be recovered to its full extent and remain as a negative remark throughout the lifespan of an otherwise damn near perfect game.

This is a major win, especially for those that would have been cut out of the game over the PSN requirement. Sony needs to open up PSN to those nations if they want to institute that requirement. I do wonder if there was a feature set they wanted to implement and build out using PSN that they couldn't through Steam's own framework, though.

I think the funniest thing is the free Cape with the negative reviews on it we get to commemorate this massive achievement.

The worse part about this is had it been implemented is that when you create a psn account on phone and don't log into the psn account once atleast through a ps4 or ps5, Sony disables the psn account after some warning.

Arrowhead knew that playstation was going to make such a move as early as 6 months before release and didn't say a fucking thing about it. They will not regain my trust. This is total hogwash, arrowhead knew the game would be sold in regions that would be blocked and didn't say a word about it.

Not just that but Sony has horrible cyber security I don't know how much it would affect your Steam account but linking the PSN account to Steam is a new threat to your Steam account. If you use the same password for PSN and Steam and don't have 2FA its likely your account would get hacked I think

I doubt they give a single flying feck about negative reviews. It was definitely due to the Steam refunds. I wish steam could also allow refunds in case of false advertised games like Watch dogs 1 , No man's sky, Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, Starfield. World would be a better place and companies would think twice before fooling gamers.
