@@sangheilicommander1056 It does 300 dps which is on the low end. It’s about the same as 2 semi auto bursts from any standard weapon or a single shotgun round. Most weapons have full auto settings so they drastically out dps it which includes shotguns. I think it wasn’t ranked in the lowest because ice stages reduce its heat build up and weapons without full auto are weaker as the laser slightly. The “Rover” laser is infinitely better than the assault rifle version for the simple fact that one needs ammo resupplies. For anyone not using a backpack item this weapon is amazing since it just ups your dps by 300 for the whole map. One person should take it and give one to an ally mid game. That said, by no means is this better use of a slot than a turret deployable or a airstrike/orbital, they can trivialize encounters even on the hardest settings.

I think most primary weapons could use a 10% damage buff. I was excited to grind and unlock the Scythe only for it to suck hard.

it was my favorite from divers 1, its a shame they massacred my boy. breaker is just too good to want to use anything else. they shouldn't nerf the breaker they should buff everything else. i haven't tried the liberator ap vs bots but its super underwhelming vs bugs (id rather take the base liberator)

Even a 10% wouldn't do much. A flat 10 damage for ARs, increased ticks for lasers, and primary explosives need actually UMF to it.

@@joyous6817 it's not about how premium the warbond feels, it kills the variety in the game if there's only one good gun, and the liberator, with everything else being D tier at best. In a game where we're meant to bring different equipment and different playstyles to suit different objectives, it would be such a waste if there is only 1 and a half guns worth using. All the guns should excel the way the breaker does but at slightly different roles and use cases.

Breaker can do everything. It can quicly kill anything that isn't an armored heavy. It has great range. There's no need to use any other primary.

Knight machine gun is better for run and gunning because you can one hand. If you know how to aim/control recoil; it's the only gun that's better. Paired with a rail gun, you can kill anything without any other strats.

Definitely some weapons that suck against the bugs but slap against automatons. The Penetrator does really well into bots given a lot of them are armoured, for example.

JAR-5 isn't that good against termies in my opinion. Against the Automatons though, it's effective against everything except hulks and tanks if you aim properly. Even at the back though it's only a couple of shots to kill a hulk because of the 100% damage to weakspots instead of 10% offered by other primaries.

@@krevetka9744 That’s true. At least it sounds nice. Honestly, it might not be meta, but I keep finding myself going back to the basic liberator over even the breaker. It sounds nice, it feels really nice with the adaptive triggers on the PS5, it cuts limbs right off. . . I love ARs. I was really excited to get the penetration liberator and sad to hear it’s dookie. Hopefully, once the devs are done sorting the server and login issues (and I’m not blaming the devs here, it’s a wonderful game and I’m addicted and they’re doing a great job.). Hopefully they tweak the weapons a bit to balance them a bit better. The scythe should be as powerful as the laser guard dog for example.

This game really needs an offline, no rewards, holo-deck type training mode to test these weapons.

they probably will add a shooting range or something for that soon back on super earth to land on and allow probably some cool player interacting and side quests given by NPCs something to have like a bonus besides from the daily or major idk i already think this game is great but there has to be something on super earth i feel like it just existing but us not being able to go defeats a lot maybe also let us own a home and customize it they shouldve also had looks for our characters without the gear so we can customize that too especially sense they show a lot of faces but thats probably too much work and too much to ask from a small team

Right ? Defender is one of the best weapons imo , especially against the Borgs while using the ballistic shield . The ads’ing with the shield is better than using the gun alone because you have literal laser precision instead of a reflex sight .

Personally I’d move the regular Liberator up to A or B but yeah the Breaker is head and shoulders above every other gun. They need some buffs to a few of the others. Very disappointed with the liberator penetrator.

I think of the liberator as standard C tier and use it as a benchmark for all other weapons. Oddly enough its better than most of the weapons in this game.

I hope they bring back Pass Through rounds. Technically the Breaker shotgun was nerfed from Helldivers 1 because the rounds went through any targets who's armor it could penetrate.

The Liberator Penetrator NEEDS some kind of damage buff. Having to dump a full mag into any enemy to kill it when any other gun can clear four or five before a reload is abysmal. Even if it can penetrate medium armors, I can get around them easily enough with other tools. Out of all the guns, this one is the only one I can't stand.

the lib penetrator does have medium armor pen, It just doesn't pen chargers or titans since they're heavy and elite enemy types with heavy armor

The breaker is OP, but the Punisher is a bit slept on. Reload a shell between every shot, you will shoot ever so slightly faster (cancels the pump animation) and never stop until you’re completely out of ammo.

I'm pretty sure I saw it penetrate the front armor plate on the Hive Guard. If that's true, it might be worth taking along with a Stalwart and an ammo backpack and just using it for medium armored targets. The literally 3,000 rounds of ammo you'd get with a Stalwart in that configuration can handle the trash. At least until you level up enough to go breaker+railgun like everyone else.

It is listed as light armor pen, but in actuality it has medium armor pen, seen it blow holes through armor that it not have if it was truly light armor pen

I feel like they should make you able to run with the slugger shotgun, pump action is kind of a weak rate of fire for the amount of swarm late game… If they’d do that you could play like a fast scout with 6 stims and a slugger shotgun and shoot while running, that would be a nice gameplay to have as an option)

I fundamentally reject the penetrator being placed at E. if you already fan your shots with automatic weapons and remember to just put one round into the small guys you can get a lot of mileage out of the penetrator. A single burst to the head of warriors and sometimes even hunters is enough to bring them down, while it just chews through the armor of the hive guardians and brood commanders

I give this video 4 stars. Need to hear that sweet sweet voice. lol

The slugger absolutely slaps too for low levels. I got it very early and am only level 10 but it holds a lot of shells and smacks hard. Haven’t ran anything else since

as soon as I got the Breaker I haven't been able to move on to any other weapon. It's so fun to use and too good to pass up. I know Bolters in 40k are explosives but it feels like using a Bolter. I want a medium piercing marksman rifle, though, that would probably get me to branch out a bit

Idk how you could put the defender at D. That thing is nasty. More damage output and control than any of the assault rifles and can be used while running and carrying mission items like SSDs.

@@montrealbmwM3 The projectiles are slow, the aim itself is slow, the fire rate is low, the reload takes at least twice as much time, and the recoil is high. If the aiming wasn't so clunky, it would be really good, but the gun is practically unusable without ADSing

I agree with the teir list. Sg 225 breaker is the only gun you need to use. Everything else is near null.

Seeing the spread on incendiary and "spray and pray" variants of Breaker makes me think that the tight spread on the basic Breaker is bugged.

I use breaker railgun and laser dog, gotten some juicy games with that combo alone

I did notice that but now that i moved on to better guns i also noticed how bad the accuracy of the gun was in fact i noticed a lot of helldivers cannot aim worth jack now me personally im always around the 80% in accuracy but my squads they're always lower than 70% do people refuse to switch to first person mode it has the best accuracy help possible if not i normally dont see people crouch no matter what armour crouching and proning helps but this is a different topic.

some rebalancing is definately needed, id like to see the harder to earn weapons be the most rewarding

I haven't fought the bots as much as the bugs so I'm assuming some of the guns feel better on them vs the bugs. Like the smgs and the shotguns feel good on the bugs while everything else sort of felt better on the bots.I love the JAR but its just not good against the hordes of bugs unless I take the machine gun as my heavy option. Does feel like some of the weapons need a bit of touching up to keep up though.

Breaker explosive is super awesome... It's basically breaker with increased fire power, no downside at all... I hope it's not a premium weapon.

I think it’s just that the breaker allows to kill like 10 small bugs instantly and gives you breathing room to use your heavy weapon against more dangerous targets. Also mag reload

Am I the only one who thinks the defender is absolutely goated paired alongside an auto cannon or railgun?

the dominator is basically the best primary right now,you just gotta play it like a sniper and shoot heads,you can one tap most grunts (and 3/4 tap the more heavily armored bugs in the mouth area) and almost all infantry bots(headshot),but sadly it kinda sucks on chargers and hulks (frontally ofc) thats why i pair it up with a railgun so i deal with the more heavily armored units... so seing it at the bottom of the tech tree is just an insult to the weapon,please use it more and see for yourself

The weak spot on bile/nesting spewers is the head, by the way, not the thorax.

Wish the marksmen R/36 was a little bit more stronger and the zoom cover more distance and it’ll be perfect and balanced lol it would’ve been my favourite weapon but it has more negatives then positives

The jar is slept on, its an amazing weapon specially against automatons, have ran it solo helldives with great success. The thing with it is that you need to aim for it to be good

Personally I’ve been using the incendiary breaker as it feels the most reliable dmg to mag size wise, I just felt super disappointed with the dominator the mag size alone is terrible.

Maybe people are misunderstanding the Liberator Penetrator, it does less damage than standard liberator but goes right through the armor on Hive Guards head on and Brood Commanders

i dont understand how the liberator can be considered better than the defender, the total clip damage of the defender is higher, it is one handed so you can use it with a shield, and both come with 7 reloads so it it has more total damage, does it have less penetration? is it not just a straight upgrade?

The breaker should be the first gun you ever buy in this game, and the last gun you’ll honestly need to buy 😂 you can kill a bile spewer with half a mag, that’s just busted. Anyways I was saving up for the liberator penetrator cause it has medium armor penetrating, I came to the video to see if the 45 damage stacked to 90 against light bugs but obviously not.. not gonna invest in that anymore 😂

I think the diligence sniper is bugged. it lags behind more than the LMG's Also the laser sucks against the spitters butts. you need to hit the armor part. It actually has really good DPS. explosives are good against the fat butt parts.

Finally a good tier list, Id like to see one for automatons too. I bet the breaker will still be first. I knew other tier lists were BS cuz most ppl swear by the defender but it feels really mediocre even when compared to the starting rifle. Just like every other game the in-game gun stats are useless. Mows down trash bugs with carpet spraying allowing you to focus a sub weapon on a bigger threat or give space for a stratagem. Its convince over power. Use the 225 breaker to deal damage though.

lmao Defender SMG is an easy S-tier. You unlock it early and it absolutely shreds.

Jar-5's placement had me wondering for a second, then I saw that it was a Terminid specific list. More understandable. Jar-5 slaps on Automatons.

I’m not sure the penetrator deserves to be so far down. It’s damage leaves something really to be desired but it’s definitely not worse than the scythe.

Im team "Defender" all day. Everyday.

I really love this game but force to play solo are quite rough

Turn off cross play and it connects better

​@dee0092, when you can't connect to other players and you're tired of waiting for someone to drop in on your ship. Solo is your only option to play

​@@deandreturnbull4081you just have to spam quick play till you get a march. And yes crossplay should be off till it's fixed. I have never not been able to find a match doing this. Spam harder, only takes a couple minutes tops

I'll get randoms joining me after like 3 seconds of selecting a mission and usually they'll stick around for the entire 3 missions of the operation

They need to really buff all the weapons besides the shotguns...

So is the mp 98 knight a ps5 exclusive? I cant find where to buy it in the war bonds

Fuck me,I just picked up the explosive liberator thinking it would be fun but it fires fucking slower than I can pull the trigger, many weapon need a buff in this game tbh.
