Could you do a video on how you utilize the jack plate while getting up to plane, running through, and then stopping in the skinny stuff? I'm getting a jack plate and Shaw Wing put on my poling skiff this weekend, so any additional info would be great. Thank you!
C.A., make sure you keep the "slides" clean--pour some boat soap (or, better yet, some Dawn Dishsoap) down there, let it soak while you wash the skiff, then rinse it out. Once it drys, spray some food-grade silicon on both sides. DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF GREASE PRODUCT--this will cause dirt and debris to clog it up and prevent tthe MicroJacker from going up and down. Also, don't "ride" the up and down switch--it will cause harm to the relays. These jack plates can be game changers, but this one is temperamental!
They shouldve redrilled the lower plate so the whole bracket is supported
