The Swede dancing by himself while the town is being burnt and destroyed is the most iconic scene on this show. That shit was so good on first viewing and it gives me goose bumps still today.

@@delzeppelin6924 , I thought the same thing when I first saw the finale. After re watching the series I realized Bohannon had to run. His whole existence in America was hatred and dark. He had to get the hell out. I don’t blame him. A change of scenery helps

Most underrated show on television. Awesome action scenes, fleshed out characters, interesting plot, and decent writing. To me, it’s up there with shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, and Boardwalk Empire in terms of amazing tv shows.

Im not gonna lie i miss the show... : ( it was damn good, hell its was the best.

I can’t ever bring myself to say that I like Hell on Wheels more than Deadwood, so I’ll just say they’re both equally awesome.

One hell of a show

I just finished watching it yesterday and I literally don’t know what to watch anymore I’m lost without my favorite cowboy to watch

The only show I’ve ever rewatched. Such a gem. Would love a sequel of some kind, or a prequel during the war! But perhaps what makes it so fondly remembered is how it’s a snapshot in time in the way that it is.

Yellowstone is a modern western series and it's not bad. It has family drama between brothers,who inherits the ranch, cowboy vs indian and other betrayal and also some good country music In between. For me it satiate my western appetite. Love from India.

yeah its a shame when tv companies drop a show at the first sign of it losing ratings. Happened with the Expanse too, only we were lucky enough for it to be picked up by Amazon. maybe Netflix will bring another season, although I highly doubt it

Every time Cullen cries in a Sean IT’s heart breaking to watch everybody he loved ether passed away or left him he never will get to see his first son again and he will never get to see his other son again ether because of his second wife Cullen had a very sad life I felt so bad for him he deserved better then what he got in life I think the only ones that truly loved Cullen was his horse and best friends yes he had to leave all of the time for his job but he was true to his second wife then when he went looking for her she had already gotten with other man the look in Cullens eyes when she put her hand around her new husband’s waste you could see the anger he had towards her and the heartache he was feeling every time I’d watch that show I felt bad for him every day the worse he got treated the the more I wanted to hug him the actor who played him really did a great job i feel the actor put his own grief and anger into the roll he played when you can play a character that well you’ve felt some sorrow in your life and when he played Cullen I felt every emotion he had no doubt about it he should definitely be in more western movies

Still the best show. An absolute hidden gem

The clip towards the end with Cullen and Elam standing side by side surrounded by the dead bodies and then the follow up with Cullen sitting on Elam's casket killed my feels.

It's been years since I last watched this show. I was sad when it ended; I feel like it could easily have gone another season or two. I still consider it one of the better unknown shows from this era. Anson Mount and Christopher Heyerdahl formed one of the greater intense blood feuds on a tv show between Cullen Bohannon and Thor Gunnerson. I hope both of them can work together again some day!

Agree 100%! It's still one of my favorite tv shows ever. And Swede, omg.. I never seen someone like him. Brilliant villain! His relationship with Cullen is my favorite from all tv shows.

Actually, there IS someone like him. I often wonder if the showrunners based the Swede's character off of the villain in Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian, the Judge. There are a LOT of similarities between the two.

My son and I are on sixth time watching all 5 seasons!! Each time we find something new we missed before. It's on Prime. We bought it. We talk all the time about a sequel, a spin off, anything that continues the glorious story of HELL ON WHEELS...
