From what I've heard on alot of comments, the creator (sanrio) said they didn't give hello kitty a mouth so the person watching it could imagine what they were feeling at the moment on kitty's face, so if you were sad you could imagine her frowning. @@BreadBox. Lol thanks but nah bro, I don't know if it's always been the case but pausing on particular frames is actually really easy is you have a keyboard. All you have to do is pause the video and the you can use the "" buttons ( , and . ) to move to the previous and next frame respectively. It's a little known trick on youtube but it honestly works wonders for people like me who enjoy studying animations frame by frame
