Mills bomb is a regular grenade, the instant explosive one is the gammon bomb known also as NO82 grenade which u get from the anti tank lvl 6or engineer lvl6 loadouts
Mills bombs do not blow up on impact, the new Gamma grenades do.

What class rank / factions get impact?
I used to hate the grease gun until I learned how to use it. Now it is one of my favorites, especially out of American loadouts.

Do you aim down sights or hip fire? For me neither work and its a 15 dollar gun
