Even in Belgium Westvleteren beers are hard to find. Cost 20 euros in bars in Brussels. When they have some.

Thanks James! Jake crushed it with the cinematography. Riding long distances isn't easy let alone filming at the same time. The man was half bike/half machine.

Congratulations Peter on winning the Travel Video Award for Best Travel Series! This is such a great series! Not sure I could make that 550 mile trek! And I didn't wouldn't do well assembling a bike after such a long flight... my wheel would probably fall off :)

Thanks Chris! With your enthusiasm and optimism I'm sure you'd manage just fine after a long flight. I gotta say it was quite the challenge though and we experienced a bit of technical difficulties with our bike pedal shortly after assembly :)

Amazing, if only you had more time to visit Ghent and pass Bruges on the way as well. But then again you've seen Belgium in another unique way. Very excited to see the second episode!

Ghent is a world class city. Wish we could've spent an entire day there. It had such a cool vibe. But at least we had the opportunity to spend a night there. Will definitely encourage people to visit.

Watching this for the first time in October 2022, a full 4 years since this was uploaded and all I can say is wow! The concept and production standard are truly amazing!

You guys sure are earning your beers! The series is off to an amazing start! Beautiful work!

Great video! Westvleteren 12 can be considered the best beer in the world by some beer lovers, but it doesn’t reach it’s peak unless it’s been aged for at least 3 years, or up to five years. Since you had fresh bottles of the 12 at In De Vrede, you didn’t actually experience the best beer in the world at it’s optimum.

Hi Peter, I have just watched the entire series in one sitting. I have previously visited Belgium: Brussels, Ghent, and Brugge and was curious about the beers. You have not only changed my mind about the country but also educated me as well; excellent show. Thank you so much.

You are a true inspiration Peter. Dreaming of amazing adventures and then actually going through with it. You also have a lucky wife ;) handsome man

Ok i might be slightly biased as being from Bruges ( West Flanders) but Westvleteren 12 is the best beer in the world and combining this with biking ... well this is a match made in heaven :) I'm actually looking forward to bike there again straight from my home and back the moment it will be possible again. Meanwhile i am enjoying your nice videos. Proost.

Awesome video again man! No words! Its actually sad how United States is not so bike friendly like Europe :/ Ofcourse some cities and some states maybe but If you want to cross all country. I guess in highways in US its like illegal to go with bicycle and sometimes theres no other choise?

I know, right?! We only had 10 days to do the trip, so we contained it to all 6 Belgian Trappist Breweries. Perhaps a sequel where we visit the other 5 Trappist Breweries?

I am not a troll, but I wanted to point out that a lot of these comments seem inauthentic. I gave this a thumbs down because despite the HD video and handsome guys there really isn't substance here.

really beautifully shot, but you might want to invest in a gimbal or some sort of better stabilization

So this guy go to try "the best beer in the world" the famous westvleteren 12 and instead he tried the other two beers 6 and 8. I dont know what to say..
