Helikon Tex Outdoor Tactical Pants Review

I recently received the Helikon Tex outdoor tactical pants in the mail. Are these pants good? Do they replace tactical outdoor pants from UF-Pro and Arcteryx? In this video, we'll find out!

Fabio, great job on this video. I was considering the Helikon Tex pants, but after watching your review, I decided that these pants would not be a good choice for me. You are 100% correct about the problem with Velcro. Over time, the Velcro will load up with lint (from washing) and small dirt particles, and it will become weaker and weaker. I like to hike and rappel in the canyons of southwest United States. The rock is mostly volcanic basalt or sandstone, and it is very abrasive (especially on aluminum carabiners). I am looking for a new pair of pants with reinforced knee and 'hintern'. What is your opinion of the Fjallraven Keb Trousers or the Vidda Pro Ventilated Trousers?

Hey Robert, thanks a lot! I don’t have direct experience with the KEB or Vidda trousers, but I have Fjällräven pants that are also made with the G1000 Material, and they are super durable. I used them for years in hunting. If I look at the cut/features of these two pants, I get the impression that the KEB might be a good choice for what you want to do. The Vidda seems more like an outdoor work/bushcraft pant with a loop for an axe and stuff.
