The combat helicopter Mil Mi-24P (P for cannon) was launched in April 1981 and remained in serial production until 1989. Different from the early versions with a machine gun, it has high firepower due to a dual-barreled 30mm cannon GS-2-30K mounted on the right side of the fuselage. Aiming is done by turning the whole helicopter, consequently the pilot (commander) is firing the cannon. In addition this helicopter can carry up to 2400 kg of arms load: bombs, unguided rockets and antitank missiles. The Mi-24P took actively part in the Afghan war, in combat operations in Chechnya, and during the Russian Air Force operation in Syria. It is still
in service in Russia and many other countries worldwide.

all my models are in 1/48 scale and are mix between heli and plane
I'm building this kit right now. So far it's been a joy to put together. I picked up the Quinta Studios Cockpit Decals, they look so good.

Excellent work, The Zvezda kits are always top quality, I just build the T-90 tank in 1/35 and the 1/35 scale GRAD rocket launcher truck, the kits have many detail parts and they fit perfectly and the molding of the parts is excellent. I am just building an SU-27 jet in 1/48 scale by Italeri, another great kit, I just finished the blue and grey camouflage paint scheme so it is close to finished.
That's so cool!
An outstanding work Mark as always. Man 3Be3da has come a looong way since I used them 15+ years ago when I used to do modeling. Keep up the amazing work, pleasure to watch you, especially the weathering process.

BEAUTIFUL WORK! I also enjoy building models to the same level of "museum quality".. I was much impressed & enjoyed the video tremendously! Certainly the MiL24 series is a formidable aircraft..(the P variant with that 2 barrel 30mm cannon🤯..💥💥‼). I have always admired the differences in Russian and American engineering directives, the different "climates" of design strategy, production process, combat strategies, etc.. the MiL -24 is an amazing aircraft! A high speed, heavy assault+troop carrier .. To model this aircraft so well as the pilots&crew would see it, is a tremendous honor.. I must have missed the little fan @ the top right of the armored glass window frame in the "armament-office"..🤔..there is so much to see!😁 Once again, thank you for documenting the process of building this beautiful project!

@@TheBearScaleModels I ALWAYS have multiple projects going on @ the same time, both for an alibi, and to keep me out of trouble so I don't need an alibi!😄👍 I have a "quick" project concerning the building of a M-48 tank, my father was in the US 4th Armored Division, he drove those & M-4 High Speed Tractor..which had a top speed of 35mph/56kmh..I forgot what other mechanized artillery he operated, but I felt I needed these things in my collection to further remember him. I feel this is a good time to remember those who have gone before us, our friends & families now, & enjoy the peace of sharing our passion in ways that honor and acknowledge the people who operated the machines that we make models of. Besides, in Northern New York, east of Lake Ontario, it is -4°F/-20°C, I have already visited my wild deer friends, and a good model will keep me warm.. I just haven't met her yet, so I will build more scale models!😉👍

Thinking about investing into some of the Quinta Studio 3D consoles for some aircraft and Russian vehicles I have waiting to start. Did you have any complaints about the set or problems fitting them? Love the weathering you did on this Hind!

thank you ! I honestly dont have any experience of the older monogram kit. But I can tell you this zvezda kit built out of the box is very straightforward and fit is excellent is for the most part.

the gearbox housing is visible through the opening to the rotor hub. But the engines are not really so detailed. thanks !

Классно, только зря поставили 4 баллона противо пожарной системы (красные в отсеке главного редуктора) их только 2 1й очереди (автоматическая) и 2й (ручная) у звёзды ошибка. Но вы молодец!

@@TheBearScaleModels те ,что слева,это баллоны с нейтральным газом для заполнения баков от взрыва. Ошибки тут никакой нет,если вы собираете "В" раннего выпуска.
работа отличная, но на мой взгляд травло подкачало. Особенно 30.20 хорошо видно

Микродизайну пора уже целиком делать травлёный вертолёт. Покупаешь набор Звёзды и набор травления. Пластик в помойку ,а модель клеим железную.

the trumpeter version has some simple rivet detail on the fuselage but its not accurate and still does not look like the riveting on these helicopters and the kit is 2.5 times more expensive than zvezda. so yes Zvezda the better kit !
Работа могла бы быть лучше но надо было углубить и дошить расшивку а её нет и к тому же портят вид непонятно наклееные полоски как бандажи которых нет на реальном вертолёте.
Ни один из косяков модели не исправлен...
