Helen you can dance,you really can just believe in yourself .

Technically, this was very good although the flamenco bit at the end felt a little bit like she was stuck in the mud. I just want her to put her whole heart into the routines. Shes holding something back and she can't afford to do that when the standard is being set so high. Gorka killed this though. I could watch him Paso all day. 8

I was thinking to myself "i must remember to watch Helen more and stop looking at Gorka so much" LOL , his movements and his expression in his eyes wow 😍 . But yeah maybe it's nerves with Helen , i like her dances but this is probably the weakest of hers. I liked the choreography though .

watched this back a few times and though I'm no expert, I do marvel at the very precise footwork, I thought it was really very good. I do also believe that with a bit more "attack" to it, it would capture the sphere of Paso D. more and who knows, had she had a little more time then perhaps this would have come out?

Score: 8 I'm with James Jordan on this, on a night where dances were overmarked this should not have been the one dance to be undermarked. It was her best dance yet! Technique was all there, she just needs to give it more oomph, but a very strong effort! She should never have been 10th on the leaderboard.

I'm not normally that bothered by who gets what score unless it seems really unfair and this is one of those instances. The stamping steps at the end were a bit clumsy but otherwise this was a dance with a lot of quite complex traditional flamenco choreography that, even though is lacked a little passion in some places, was also oozing flamenco style in others.

Loved this so much! And agree with Gorka, Helen is amazing and needs to believe in herself ❤

Helen is doing brilliantly, never one to shy away from hard work, you only have to look back on all her personal achievemments down the years. She is doing a tremendous job.

Oh, this is the most criminally undermarked dance I have seen. I do get Craig's comments about it being more firey and passionate, that's my favourite type of Paso, but this was a nice flamenco take on it. But come on!! This was no wear near such the low scoring! She didn't deserve to be so low on the board! I sunk all my votes into her, she deserves it. That being said, I very much agree with Shirley's saying that Helen needs more confidence. I can see it in her eyes every time. It hasn't exactly hindered her dancing, but it's holding her back. Come on, Helen, girl! You gotta believe in yourself!

Helen is absolutely gorgeous ❤️ She's such a good dancer, when Helen believes she is as sexy as we all KNOW she is, she'll set fire to the dance floor. ❤️❤️❤️

Score - *9/10* I really enjoyed this, it was so traditional and flamenco it was lovely, for me I disagree with alot of people this routine didn't call for fire and overagression it was more sort of subtle and sharp passion which I think Helen delivered rather well, all the promanade positions and capework were on point and I think shes getting better at creating a story. The choreography was really good and I really look forward to her routines every week. Gorka showed her up on the table which was unfortunate but the rest of it was absolutely delightful. Shes clearly someone who likes to be in hold and thankfully you get quite abit of hold in a Paso. Keep going because you're good you just need that jaw dropping dance which will come soon hopefully 🤞

Pretty good stuff, definitely improving every week. I agree with Craig was expecting it more powerfully but very good dance.

Yeah i guess she could have attacked this more , but i still enjoy Helen's performances .. but i guess this is maybe her weakest . The flamenco was cute at the end aswell 👏.

I thought they did well. It reminded me of Puss in Boots and Tony and Nadyia in the early nineties and airline employees visiting the la Linea and Gibraltar restaurants and Tapas and Flamenco shows with scary Skelton. And my leaving party at a tapas bar. Fantastic. I love flamenco dancing.

I vet the guitarist was please having to learn this at a weeks notice haha he did a great job.

She's good and has the potential to be great. I hope she can find her confidence. I think Gorka was a bit disappointed- you could see it in his face when they went up to talk to Claudia- he probably wanted this dance to be the one that she shined on, considering it's his favourite and the link to his heritage, but mostly for Helen to demonstrate her true potential to herself and everyone else.

I believe Gorka had hoped for more because he felt it was "in there"... but perhaps also perhaps in reaction to the comments? It is his favourite dance so yes for him it means much

Well done helen 💃 she looked and danced beautifully. Beautiful true paso routine that i very much enjoyed. She needed more attack and more passion, more grit and power! Definitely holds back which is natural because she's nervous but when she lets go, this could be another dance that could be spectacular. But she danced it beautifully. It was lovely. 8 from me 🙂 also... hard not to watch gorka ha in his absolute spanish element!!!

Gorka in his element for sure!😍🔥, Helen was nervous here and needed to throw more energy and passion into it . But still a nice dance and good effort with the flamenco at the end.

7 I found this too respectful, it wasn’t FIERCE enough which was a real let down, but technically, it was a great performance

You go girl Helen you are doing so good keep up the dancing you have got a very good dance partner in Gorka, you can do this you have your 3 young beautiful children supporting there mum you have all family 👪 and friends rooting for you I hope so much that you Ellie will stay in the show you guys are very good keep calm and keep going you are strong young mum but don't let your rat 🐀 or ex husband and his new girlfriend stand in your way you definitely deserve much more

The flamenco section needed to be more sure-footed, but pretty good!

When Greg Rutherford danced it to this he ended up in the bottom 2 and just about survived and when Mike Bushell danced it to this he also ended up in the bottom 2 and didn't survive. I feel Helen's performance was a bit undermarked because she did brilliantly, all she needed was more fire and passion. Screw her ex-husband, I hope you voted to keep her in the competition, I really hope she doesn't end up in the bottom 2 tonight.

Have i missed something??? what did Helen's husband or 'ex husband' do??? . This was Helen's weakest dance, but i still liked it but she seemed nervous and needed to throw more passion into this .

@@gemstar7286 He suddenly left her for his rich girlfriend who is now pregnant with his child so presumably he was having an affair. Personally I thought this was a good dance but in true strictly fashion, they only rate it highly if you come out gurning for your life. Her cha cha was her worst dance for me.

Helen Skelton and Gorka Maequez Next. Helen as got the dancing nailed down, now she needs to start connecting to the viewers at home yes what she has been thought will get connection but what I am writing about is there is no passion in Helen's dancing it's all very tame and Quite as if she's trying not to upset anyone, she needs to emotionaly and metaphorically break down that wall of negativity and bring emotion and passion to her dancing it will be emotionally freeing for her to do this and the viewers will them connect to her more, I am a fan of Helen and Gorka and I hope she goes thought to Next Week.

There is something missing. The connection between them or she is holding back. Something is off. I do like them as a pairing, so hopefully Gorka can work his magic.

She's a great dancer but this was more Melanie from Gone with the Wind than Scarlet O Hara. Needed a lot more fire in the eyes

First of all lets appreciate Gorka for calling out her jerk ex-husband. Second of all *YES HELEN* , think the last bit could have been better but this was still undermarked. Hope shes belives in herself eventually because 👏she👏 can👏 dance

I'd love Helen to read this, to help with her 'shyness' if she goes back to Oct 2018 and watch Kevin and Stacey dance to Happy dressed as minions, l am sure she will throw off that feeling of not quite letting go, and throw herself into her next dance. You can do it Helen....

Personally, I think that she is holding back because of the rumours that were being put about in the beginning about there being something going on between them. She is a great dancer and will normally put her whole heart into anything that she is doing, but there is definitely something holding her back and once she can let go of whatever it is, watch her fly!!

The end was not good enough for helen I mean , her foot work is usually the best in fairness. I'm voted for her because of how good I think she really is. Miss Simmons made me cry tho, she is a lil star to watch.

Sadly Helen was forgettable in a great night of dancing but thank god for Gorka. Could not take my eyes off him.

7 Judges were quite harsh but I do agree that she needs to start giving more. This was a very technically demanding routine and she coped really well with almost all of it, but when a routine is so well executed, the lack of character is amplified. Great shaping and footwork (for the most part) but her face was frozen on one expression almost all the way through. She needs to try and lose any inhibition and perform and exaggerate with more energy, because she's too good to perform in such a reserved manner.

1 of my fave and best paso music ever and not done justice dance wise...sigh....She did welll but she should have extended her body a lot more ....it seems quite stiff even though the steps are there. That solo section at the end should have not been choreographed for her unless she could pull it off; she seems very timid in her movements.... Very ambitious and great choreograghy from Gorka but I wished it would have been given to someone who could actually pull it off !!!

I mean props to the band for trying but attempting Rod y Gab is basically suicide. The things those two can do is just superhuman, you could practically hear the guitarist's fingers screaming trying to keep up

Score: 7 Something was really being held back in this dance. Her movements were underwhelming and they lacked the oomph that you need in the Paso. She did good but she just needed to extend everything and give it some more power, it was way too safe. The confidence was too contained and it needed to just be let go of. But I think her hold is actually incredible and she had some nice flamenco. Overall it was a nice performance, it just wasn't fierce.

ohh gorka !....mmmm.

No flamenco! I wish they would stop trying to join Paso and Flamenco they are very different and the 'stomping' was out of time. Wish them well and hopefully not in the dance off.

They do not have much chemistry so this was lacking for me and I feel like she is only good in ballroom - not an all rounder.
