"Jesus came to teach us how to live" - best answer I've ever heard from a Christian. We never see him fixated on theology or religious mottoes in gospels.

@boryagin The problem with saying that is that it does not take into account that "we" were not those that he came to in his earthly incarnation and ministry; he came onto the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24), and if you read Matthew 15 you will see how he and his disciples felt about pagan Gentiles such as we are today before we trust Christ in their attitude to the Gentile mother asking for help for her daughter. Jesus did help her but he did not tell her to be saved through him. Gentiles matching our description (not obeying Jewish ordinances like the Gentiles called Greeks in Acts were required to do) were not allowed to be saved until the Acts period ended in failure of the first century Jews to accept their Messiah (Acts 28:28-31 KJV); only until then was the gospel of the free gift of Ephesians 2:8 & 9 made known and available to any that wish to receive it.

Years ago I watched a video of a man talking about how he would pray and read his Bible for an hour everyday before going to work. One morning he is praying as usual and then in the spirit he is outside someplace with grass and Jesus is there. He said Jesus was not religious at all. He said Jesus was horsing around with him like guys do. I know how my husband and his brothers were back when they were younger. My MIL saying you boys go outside. Jesus is our elder brother. Jesus calls us family . God’s family. We co-work with God in the restoration of all things. Jesus restores all things. We are co-working with the company of heaven.

Cute cat! I love cats. Debbie's words on specifically what she means by "forgiveness" and how it played out in her experience helped me a lot with that concept. In so many cases when someone talks about "forgiveness" they come off like they are saying "everything is okay and what you did is okay and forgotten now." I think Debbie's take on it is much closer to the reality of what forgiveness truly means.

That everything in heaven is amplified. One day God’s glory is going to cover this earth. Hopefully it’s soon. There is a scripture that says the darkness does not overcome The Light.

Made it. I enjoyed the second part as well. I loved Debbie's moment with Jesus as a little girl. I have my God moments like that. Once in 1987, I told Jesus prove it if you have a sense of humor. My husband was away (another state), and it was my birthday. So I pretty much told every clerk in all the stores...and my neighbors. Somewhere about 7 or 8 PM, I realized it was NOT my birthday. I told Jesus...haha... The next day was great (my girls about 2 and 3 years old)...about a quarter after midnight, I realized I missed my birthday. I never once thought of it. How? To this day, I tell Jesus...that's not funny, and you still don't have a sense of humor. I have a sense of humor; you do not Lord. Thanks for sharing Debbie. I'm glad you are still here with us. Thank you Heather.

Made it--and so did your cat! LOL! Soooooo funny--what a sweetie! My little girl, Georgy, a Lhasa Apso, takes her treat in her mouth every morning and walks round and round the apartment, chortling away. She eventually 'digs a hole' in her soft bed to 'hide it'--then races over to me, making me leave the computer, and she shows me just where she hid it!! (Same place every day!) She then looks up at me, so very pleased with her cleverness, and I could swear that she 'grins'!! Well, Debbie certainly had me listening very carefully when she discussed if people of different faiths ascend to Heaven. And I can see that she believes that those of us who are 'good' in our hearts and to others--and are able to love all other religions and ways of thinking--will be loved by the Creator. I think her pure, true love of Jesus probably truly does make her want us all to share that love. And, certainly, the Jews (though I am not religious) have always believed what a good man Jesus was. So, it was delightful to hear of her 'character analysis' of him----He sounds like someone I'd love to meet, when I have to pack my bags!!! 😇 Thank you Heather for another guest with so much information I am so happy to hear. ❤ Lynn PS And love from me and Georgy to your cat family!

Heather really appreciate your questions. Especially around why suffering is allowed by god. I don’t think we can really progress spiritually without questioning this. We shouldn’t just blindly accept suffering as acceptable. We deserve an explanation and understanding. Especially by those who have apparently connected with god and Jesus. Can we trust god and Jesus to protect us? Or not. It’s either a yes or no answer. It’s not hard to come to the conclusion that because such horrible things are allowed to occur here the answer can only be no? Jesus and god allowed this to happen to Debbie. So why or how can we ever trust that god or Jesus doesn’t permit the same for us.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Suffering is hard to understand. But I do think there are things we can’t understand now in this life that we will understand later.

I find it a bit disturbing when someone discourages people from going to church to seek God but then at the end of the video tells people who are seeking God to contact them as they now have a career giving spiritual advice.

Both are risky business, attending a church or asking someone that was given a paranormal experience.

@@dfkuz Perhaps, but if I was to seek spiritual guidance I would go with the person who has spent many years studying the bible, praying with and helping others, all with a deep passion for the Lord and for the souls of those who come to him rather than the person who had that one experience that one time and is now trying to sell their book about it and make a living off of it.

Did you hear her say that she works for free? All of her counseling is free to anyone who needs it. Her heart is so beautiful and she is helping so many other people who are struggling with trauma. I don’t understand why any of you would gossip about her when her motives are so pure.

@@Beyond_with_Heather_Tesch I'm not doubting this lady's sincerity but she is not a trained counsellor. Churches offer all the same services, and more, with trained staff for free so why put down churches.

Ahhh. Thanks! That is my sweet Gracie. She was a feral cat and we trapped her because she was pregnant and about to have kittens. We thought we were only saving the kittens and we would spay her and put her back because she was too wild. But she adapted well and got along with our other cats and dog so we ended up keeping her and one kitten. She loves having a family and a home. We found great homes for the other kittens.
