I think petrify is better for him.

Helcurt is late game and split pusher hero downside If the enemies knows how to delay farm and counter pick it. It depends on the user how you will maximize every situation.

Not exactly, since his S1 and ult already guarantees a high hit chance. Auto aim just enables you to execute kills much more faster and smoother without worrying about fumbling your S2. If you know that the enemy can dodge, you could just ignore auto aim and manually aim, though this needs practice (yes his S2 hitbox is that small). But overall, I really recommend using auto aim. It makes his S2 execution much more smoother.
