We’ve lost our ancestral traditions/ways and it’s time we bring it back finally. This is what our ancestors did and just like every culture who partakes in their ancestral past we should also.

The very first person out is using a fan to bathe the elements of thr stage, and later the people, in smoke. In north American indigenous traditions this is usually called smudging. The smoke is made by burning what are usually considered sacred or medicinal plants and herbs. In my particular background usually this means cedar, sage, sweet grass, or tobacco. Bathing things and people in this smoke is done to cleanse them of various things. Usually with the intention of making sure the space/people are considered ritually clean and can move forward in the ritual with the right headspace/intentions/vibes and no negative energies remain to interfere. Then the band takes the stage, they are smudged, then they pray and open the set.

It's a concert/pantomime and production consisting of a group of people from Germany, Denmark and Northern countries. The introduction is a purification ritual, the songs consist of different types of singing, languages and sing about Norse and Germanic mythology. The instruments are used to "bring a primal" feeling to the audience. The band itself is called "Heilung", in German for "healing".
