Heilbronn is a city in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg and is located around 50 kilometers north of Stuttgart. The city is known for its wine-growing regions and its historic old town, which is characterized by numerous half-timbered houses.
In downtown Heilbronn there are numerous shops, restaurants and cafés that invite you to stroll and linger. The historic town hall on the market square and the Kilianskirche are particularly worth seeing.
The Jägersee stretches along the banks of the Neckar, a popular recreational and bathing spot for the people of Heilbronn and their visitors. Also recommended is a visit to the botanical orchard and zoo, located on the outskirts of town.
Heilbronn is also an important business location with numerous companies in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and logistics. There are also various recreation areas in the vicinity of the city, such as the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park and the Schemelsberg.
