Update: Jeff says, "Oh man, I made a mistake. At 5:20, I said the iCM is dynamic but it is a condenser element (of course it is... it is Icom)" :-)

One thing to note is that the adapters are color coded. Makes it easier to tell which adapter for which radio one is selecting from the desk drawer!

OMG! nobody has a video out showing how to hook the cables up to the headset! I have three different cables and none of them make a lick of sense.

Not sure what you mean. The adapter (usually) has 3 connectors. One is the XLR where the headset plugs in, another is the microphone connector for your specific radio and only fits in one socket on your radio. The third is for an accessory foot- or hand- PTT switch.

@@HamRadioOutlet Ok maybe I am not making myself clear. I bought the pro 7's and a yellow Yaesu adapter cable. seperate for my ftdx10, in the box with the headphones came two different cords one straight and one curly. The instructions in the box do not tell me how to hook these cables to my headphones and radio. and I could not find any you tube videos on how to do it either.

@@brianmartin7964 The modular plug of the adapter cable plugs into the front of your radio. The Pro7 comes with a PTT switch. That plugs into the larger phono socket on the adapter cable. Choose either the curly cable or the straight cable, depending on your preference. The connector on your chosen cable that fits the Pro7, plugs into the Pro7. The other end plugs into the only other jack on yellow adapter cable.

I want to by a headset, but without the adapter, it would be useless. When will the adapters be in stock?

Which adapters? We get them when Heil Sound ships them. Have you checked to see if the adapter you need is out of stock in all our stores? If it's in stock at one of our stores, it'll ship from there.

My Heil Pro did not last long, made of poor quality materials. Sounds great but very expensive for this quality.
