Hi yes hello Thank you for watching this messy half-finished animation of mine and for your interest in these characters, as well as sharing your interpretations. I really didn't expect this video to get as much attention as it did, now I kind of regret not finishing it, haha. ovo;; Still, I'm glad so many of you seem to like it anyway. I've gotten (and still get) a lot of comments asking for a sequel or suggesting that Heidi should be a comic (much like my Wolf Song video, I have a feeling it's because they both have open endings). Well, good news! I have a potential sequel video planned and a comic based on Heidi planned for the future. Presently, I have been working on a fully-animated prequel video for my Wolf Song animatic, and I'm also working on a comic based on Wolf Song. Once I'm done with that series I plan to work on the aforementioned Heidi projects. Those who keep up with me on social media have been mostly aware of this, but I figured I should post this info here for those new or returning viewers that may be interested in more of, well, this. There's something so unsettling about Heidi's design aside from the cannibalistic demon spawn that we see later. Her cyan hair and eyes mixed with magenta, the way her eyes seemed kinda dead, like it was a doll's eyes. The bright red lipstick. Her eyes are what disturb me most about her. The white part of her eyes is actually light pink, then theres teal, then theres magenta, then her black pupils. I think it's the fact that they're not colored realistically and it looks like she has pink eye? Also because she doesnt really blink and is always smiling. Idk, just some odd things that might contribute to the reason she might look disturbing. Lol

My interpretation: Heidi is the girl, and she has been looking for a boy who excepts her in human form and in spider demon thingy form, and when she pulled that guy behind the wall she showed him her spider form and he got scared. Therefore, she had to get rid of him so he wouldn’t tell anyone so she killed him. When she sees the boy, idk, lets call him Nate, Nate gets scared and runs. He had dropped his tape and she was running to give it back to him with not enough time to turn back into human form. When she sees that Nate isn’t running once she catches up to him, and he still tells her the tape is for her, she finally found a boy who accepted the way she was.

I'm not sure if this intentional, but I thought it was interesting that when the main guy sees Heidi with the greaser guy, he has a piece of candy in his mouth which js something that is sweet, but not really substantial. While the greaser has a cigarette, a substance that's foul and harmful to you. The greaser dies, possibly due to him being toxic and harmful to others. The main guy though throws away the candy and ultimately gets a more meaningful relationship because now he's aware of Heidi's true nature rather than just her sweet side.

I've been trying to find this for days. Couldn't remember the name of the video but I remember everything about it. So took advantage of the algorithm by watching similar videos until I finally found this again. Great memories, but bittersweet. Thank you for the time and effort that went into this so long ago but's still given lasting enjoyment

oop i gotta a theory about a short made last year i think heidi eats the guys who hurt abuse or use girls,to prevent them from hurting other girls.she finds this out from other classmates who have been ditched or she finds it out by spending the evening or day with the boy before devouring them.the greaser guy seemed really advancive and was okay with whatever act heidi and him were gonna do in the alley.she didnt eat the jock because he wasnt like the to girls he dated and was nice and kind and care enough to make a soundcloud mixtape for her.

I remember this, what a good time. The plot twist was not what I expected, though I still wonder what his mix tape says. Though seeing as she is some sort of creature, you would think she knew the entire time he followed... she probably did.

Well that was utterly terrifying yet wholesome

I have a theory: Heidi eats chads, and other disgusting human beings, and that’s just her job; protect humans from potential rapists/abusers/just shitty people in general, and she has no qualms against strait up fecking eating them alive for that reason. I think also that she was genuinely touched by the fact that he made a mixtape for her, and that he was a decent human being (from what we see in the vid, he’s a nice kid who’s crushing hard on a girl in his class, and wanted to make something nice for her; very sweet by the way, friggin love the feels). That he wasn’t struggling against her and trying to escape probably didn’t hurt either (less of a ‘struggling prey’ response I would assume, since she appears to be a predatory alien species). Overall, it was absolutely adorable and I would love to see what you do with it in the future. ;)
