I started it yesterday and finished it this morning currently it's 4:44 AM, I had to come to this trailer to tell you all that you need to watch this ASAP.... Especially if you are a woman.... I'm literally in tears RN.

And for the review..... It started as artistic ok ok but beautiful cinematic shots but the way it gave me a mix of emotions in every episode is so rare that I'm commenting on my comment to let u know. It's so complex and intense that u will hate some characters but also sympathize with them at the same time. Mind blowing performance by the actors and grand cinematography, party to the eyes I must say.

But the thing is Lahore was much more diverse back before partition than what it is now, and Heeramandi used to have courtesans from all parts of India and even Central Asia, not just from Punjab. There's no way that we can compare the Heeramandi of Pre-Partition Lahore with that of today's backward Punjabi-centric Heeramandi.

A part of me felt like this too but I feel as though this step is equally necessary for the current position the entertainment market is in. By putting his work on Netflix as a series, he will reach a much more diverse audience I feel, because lets be honest, if it was a Bollywood movie it would only be watched in cinemas by desi people. In Netflix it will catch the eye of a lot more foreigners.

Do you remember how the censor board made sanjay change padmavat? The amount of criticism and hate he received before the film was released? With Netflix, he can bypass all that and have much more creative freedom. This will be interesting to watch, to see what his work will be like under Netflix and the extent of his creativity.

Just finished watching whole drama, i m feeling so good, happy bcz its music, scene, dance, outfits, the shahi palace all of it was sooo soooo perfect. I loved ot. This is the only indian drama which is best for me. Eagerly waiting for more dramas movies like this.

I think it's my personal opinion that Sonakshi,manisha,Aditi stole the whole trailer but after watching heeramandi I've realised that my interest is only in Aalamzeb and Tajdar lovestory 😂❤❤❤

Congratulations Netflix and Sanjay for this soul-stirring series! Krishna says in Gita that a soul cannot be destroyed, killed or maligned. Sanjay proves this yet again in his daring choice of subjects. The theme, dealing with the victory of human spirit is so well etched out! Every character in Heeramandi looks so natural; thanks to casting director, Shruti Mahajan. Lovely costumes, thanks to Rimple Narula/Chandrakant Sonawane. Kudos to Nikam Mayur and rest of the team for genius art direction. Sanjay/Moin/Nidhi/Vibhu......exemplary writing! Standing ovation to the whole cast and crew! Hats off Sanjay! Thank you profusely, Netflix!

SLB’s another master piece was Marvellous art and must to watch webseries. Loved the acting of Manisha and Sonakshi … they both showed their experiences excellently on screen, really an impactful acting. Aditi coming from Nawab family, her acting on this line was great. Others Sanjeeda was great too. Newbie needs lots of training

We need to stop comparing Tawaifs to the average prostitutes. They may have began running the brothels under British rule, but Tawaifs were COURTESANS. Best compared to Geishas of Japan. Masters of culture, art, and language.

Yeah in certain regions they ended up that way (wiki knowledge) but at their peak they were extremely talented women who had trained all their childhood to entertain. Artists of all sorts of entertainment arts be it dance, songs, riddles, mind games, etc. I honestly think tawaifs and geishas were really cool people, I can't imagine being a person having so many talents, true artists.
