Israfael is the angel who is appointed by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to blow "Soor" a sound that will cause all life to end on the last day, nothing will exist from this point on except Allah The Ever living The Lord of all existence. Then when Allah wills He will bring us all back to life that's when the day of judgement will be held accountable for our deeds in this life and death with accordingly, those who obey the commands of Allah will rewarded with a place in Jannat and those who have disobeyed or opposed the laws of Allah will be punished in hell. That life is eternal, that is what we must prepare for.

She is singing about two lovers (the Story of Heer and Ranjha written in verse by Waris Shah) who are pushed apart by social conventions and customs but use the tenacity of the young to stay near each other while not caring at all about customs and conventions.
