    All it takes is practice, man. I'm a military marching band school, and us baritones usually get the highest notes in marches. What grade are you in?

    I struggle so hard to get really high but as an 8th grader I can play a high f and the range is getting a lottt better but goddd 😭😭

    not a bari player, but I remember that feeling when I had a contra for the first time. Four hour drill block (before we had ANY visual put in there, so no horn snaps) absolutely broke me. Have fun in marching season, everyone :)

    Bro I wish my high school band had fun music and drill like this. Instead I was stuck with quarter notes and the worst drill imaginable, then I went to dci and it was awesome.

    We only doubled tongued in this show, so similar to triple tonguing but easier in this situation because we played 16th notes😄

    when passages get too fast to tongue using just "da", you can use something called multitonguing: if it's that's with triplets, you can do triplet tonguing "da-da-ga" (or "ta-ta-ka") if it's something else? "da-ga" or "ta-ka" let me know if you wanna know more :)

    There are dozens of woodwind transcriptions on MuseScore. But there’s no way you could really know what octave they’re written in or what the actual divisis are without getting a real part.

    man how can I learn to play bass clef, I'm a trumpet player just starting out in trying the baritone and my only option is treble clef music or simply writing in fingerings. Any advice?

    What I did was over the summer I would mainly read and write bass clef music. Doing that for a couple of months helped me be able to read it easily. For tips, the 2nd line from the top is where F is, use that as a foundation to find the rest of the notes and practice practice practice.

    I March Baritone for DCI, you want your hand in a backwards C shape really defined so that your fingers go straight down, this helps you play faster, as well as keeps you from damaging the valve casing from pushing at an angle. If anything his hands need to be more defined
