Sebastian Bach was actually designed and created in a lab. Hence, he had it all...looks, hair, voice and skill/talent.

What some folks might not realize is that every word Sebastian sings in every song is his pure vocals. Not any tricks or anything to make him sound like he does. Just his vocals, the microphone, and that's it. Most singers today have tools to help them growl or make their voice have that scratchy rasp. There's a tool for any sound you want your voice to be and 90% of singers in this style of music use them, a lot.

Love this song. This along with their song In A Darkened Room are my faves of theirs. There are notes in this that will shred your voice if you try sing them like he does. Incredible vocal.

Sebastian is a killer vocalist. Scotti Hill was always my favorite guitarist of the two. His solos are bluesy.

The album "Slave to the Grind" literally saved me from being down in a deep depression, because of my narcissistic then fiancé. I put this in my AIWA cassette player while I was up with my twins in the middle of the night, and it got me rightfully pissed. After a few nights of this, I was able to write up what I wanted from life, and call my now ex-fiance out on his crap more often. This album was definitely what I needed at that moment, and neither me nor my twins, who were 10 months old at the break up, regret booting him from our lives. You guys definitely need to listen to the whole album. The lyrics are pretty deep throughout. Great reaction! 🤘💖

I feel because of when they came along, Bach was the face of this band but Snake Sabo might be on the most underrated guitarist list. Great player who gets overshadowed by great frontman, ala DeGarmo, Tate…But at least we know we who Chris DeGarmo is as opposed to Skidrows guitar players

My favorite band since 2001. I've always thought of this song as NOT having or keeping faith until it is convenient. I find myself in quicksand (trouble or desperation) and now I'm asking for Gods help, hence, i believe in Quicksand Jesus.

Try slave to the grind from skid row. A incredible rocking song . Unbelievable guy work . Scotti hill and Dave sabo are two of the most underrated guitar players inetal music. Sebastian Bach has the greatest voice of the 80' s . You will love the song. There is not a bad song in the whole slave to the grind album. It was the ct metal album to debut #1 on the billboard chart. Not too shabby. Love your reactions. Keep up the good work.

I made it through a painful childhood and use certain songs to remind me of things I've lived through or overcome. Skid Row have a song that carries deep meaning for me. It was as if these musicians pulled it from my heart and mind from those tough days of a loveless existance with physical and mental abuse that I had prepared myself to die in. But I made it through. The song off this same album 'Slave to the Grind' is called "In a Darkend Room" Another song that was meaningful to me and from a little darker genre of rock was 'Wading Through the Darkness' by Flotsam & Jetsam

This and November Rain by GN’R are the greatest songs I’ve ever heard. Bar none. Only man that can outsing Sebastian (yes, it’s possible) is Milijenko from Steelheart, who I believe your cohorts already reacted to. Glad you two shared my reaction from 1991. Still in awe now. Too bad Bach and Affuso on drums left the band a few weeks after Dave Sabo personally told me "we ain’t going anywhere". 😔

The reason I don't agree that he can out-sing him is because Sebastian could carry vocal like no other whether it was a hard heavy song or a Milotic softer song. If you didn't know steelheart's music back then I can remember countless times people would hear a song come on the radio and mistake it for Slaughter white lion Firehouse . I'm not saying that he didn't have some pipes but if you threw some Millennials back then and gave them those bands to listen to their melodic songs almost sound like they're identical with the vocals and the instrumentals.

As good as Sebastian Bach was I don't believe he was the best male vocalist ever. If you want to talk about powerful vocals in softer melodic song There's No One better than Steve Perry from Journey.

Bach was far from being the asshole of the band. Rachel and Snake couldn’t handle the fact that Sebastian upstaged them at every event. Whether it was MTV, VH-1, music stores, signing autographs after the shows. He had the looks, the charisma, the drive to give the fans a great experience each and every time. Yes, he made some mistakes. He hit super stardom at 19 years old. Who doesn’t make some mistakes, but to blame it all on him is misguided. Also, the band treated him horribly when he was emotionally falling apart due to his father’s leukemia diagnosis. They should have been there for him instead of kicking him when he was at his lowest. He thought they were his friends, but they repeatedly emphasize they were never his friend. He made them stars and they wrecked the best band of all time. Just look how many singers they’ve gone through since and not one hit song or album. Nobody will stay with them so perhaps they are the a-holes. By the way, Sebastian’s new album is amazing!

Think it is fair to say that from '89 till '93 Skid Row was the band in the Metal genre that was as close to being as "important" as Guns N Roses. So many great songs. But unfortunately. Bach being a total asshole 85% of the time took them away from us.
