theres kind of Reunion in Sweden 2 of june 2017 i Alvesta Sweden Called Eddy Malm Band you should join

I love listening to obscure 80s metal bands with only about 4 to 6 songs on their albums. Eddy Malm added some extra power to this band.

"Heathens From the North" I wish it was longer..great one

When I used to buy albums with cool cover art this was a gem find

This is just so much fucking better than extreme metal. The vocals sound great, the riifs are catchy, and it's all around enjoyable and awesome. We need to bring back classic heavy metal. I'm so fucking sick of all the extreme metal crap we have nowadays.

Classic heavy metal will always have the spot closest to my heart, but there are some really good extreme metal bands out there. We have Death, Gorement (don't get fooled by the name, they're really good), Entombed, Bolt Thrower, Pan.Thy.Monium, Grave just to name some. Some extreme metal bands are fucking horrible, yes, but everything has its better and worse sides.

hell yes kick ass metal ep from the first metal band in sweden heavy load always loved this band, underrated i love the way they sing about battles and warriors. and a shame they only had about 5 albums all metal masterpieces, here is a band that should of been mega huge, some metal bands that happens too. a shame. \m/ heavy metal forever, and if we was talking with a list of heavy metal underrated bands this would make my top 5 easy.

reunion just announced.... 2018 sweden rock,keep it true and up the hammers fest!

... but not epic metal (do not get confused by the album covers!) like Manowar , Warlord , Manilla Road , Omen. From what I hear , I think they were more intersted to incorporate other influences in their music. For example : I hear some darkwave/punk in the Take Me Away song , and some disco in the Free and also Something New. And excactly that is why I like them so much.

Probably because there were three singers in the band. Eddy Malm on guitar and vocals, Ragne Wahlquist on guitar and vocals and Styrbjörn Wahlquist on drums and vocals. Then of course you had Torbjörn Ragnesjö on bass as well. I can give you a few examples on who sung on which song, including all their albums. Eddy Malm: Dark Nights, Little Lies Ragne Wahlquist: Heavy Metal Angels (In Metal and Leather), You've Got the Power Styrbjörn Wahlquist: Bleeding Streets,

Hmm easy , Dark Avenger , Secret of Steel , each dawn I die and Thor. I tried to mention only epic metal songs from Manowar , not other simple havy metal songs like Shell Shock ,or All men play on 10. If Heavy Load were active throughout all the eighties (with good quality albums like the 3 albums that produced from 1978 - 1983) they would be more famous,and they deserved it ,but not kings of epic metal! Their main attitude was more like rock'n'rol / early heavy metal and they were pioneers

I think the deep voice is awesome, and the verse rolls along in such a heavy way.

Swedish band, American and British are better. I don't like swedish bands so much.

On the contrary I think Swedish bands are the best ones. They had a certain melancholy and earnestness. American bands were more "pub rock" 1980-1982, then in 1983 they started switching gear and almost immediately transitioned into power metal in 1984, without ever really having a "regular heavy metal" period, like in Europe. The UK of course had some great bands, but still 80 % of the NWOBHM was very mellow music.
