I think using the rudder would mess up cross landing. He can use the rudder to adjust once he is on the airport or else he will go flying

very iconic plane, sadly they don’t make 747s anymore, rest in peace legend 🤞

I work at boeing and attended the ceremony fir the last delivery. Got a medallion in celebratuon that has mwtal shavings embeded in it from the last 747 ever made. I will never forget it.

I remember sightseeing and watching one land and confirming it was a b747 from flight radar and talking to the atc, we were very surprised😅

7/10 for crosswind control, there was some slight variation in ground track but not enough to be aggressive; wind correction wasn’t maintained past the threshold though, so you drifted left. 4/10 for centerline control; it’s not a Cessna, big planes like that can’t afford to be that far off; there was a correction at touchdown though. It’s hard to say how gentle the touchdown was from this perspective-I noticed some thrust play too, it’s not a direct-drive engine, there’s a mighty long spool-up time.

couldnt put into words why this was, well, not ideal but that works.

Outside view+ fs2024 ( doesn't even exist yet)+ not following the glideslope+ almost landing in the grass 💀💀💀💀

As I’m Bristolian that’s what we call in Bristol Gert lush your hired my barber .

If only pilots could have this PoV 😅 I am watching documentaries about crashes/problesm etc. And it is hell when the pilot is in the cabin and is not able to see anything happening to the plane.

I know we see in videos of landings from cockpit the pilots moving the yoke like crazy and yet getting smooth landings. But at the simulator, the rules aren't the same. You won't have as much dynamic as in real life. So you're actually fighting with yourself. You're not correcting because of the wind, you're correcting because of the past movements. Try making the very less movement as possible, as if wind corrections were automatic
