Fantastic video, thank you for showing all the close-up shots as well! Just bought a rather inexpensive pen like the one you're working on in the video and I am looking for improvement ideas in preparation for the shoddy work I'm sure to receive. I know it seems logical to purchase a more expensive pen thinking it will be better quality, but that has definitely not been my experience with products in general!

All that welding you went through you could make your own gates/ panels Have you thaught about placing a stop, so when you lift the gate it doesn't come/slip off

Great video. Thanks for the tips. If these panels are not moved on a regular basis, why not use zip ties to hold the gaps together as well to make it sturdy and save time from modifying? You can by uv treated or metal ones.

Sorry for the late response, I couldn’t figure out how to respond to your question until I remembered when I started out building kennels and had no money. Any large fence company will have a section for used, unclaimed, damaged, over stock or orders they got wrong, this can include pipe, fence rolls, fence panels and more. I also bought material from demolition salvage yards and used building material yards. I still have a lot of the fence and gate panels in my private home kennel, they are very reusable.

How much for your version? Even though my beagles are under 13 inches. They are still strong and hyper and can destroy the factory version.

i think these playpens are made in china and then branded various name on it. those manufacturing plants dont really know how to make them properly. you should systematize your design, find a factory to make it and branded your name.
