Welcome to Adventures with Sonik We thought we would clean up this canal but didn't think we would find this much stuff, it gets crazy heavy and lots of fun.

500,000 items of litter make their way into the sea from UK rivers every year, impacting on marine life The canals & rivers of England & Wales could be plastic-free in a year if every visitor picked up one piece of litter
Confronting climate change means we have to do more than change a few light bulbs, & it’s clear that current regulations aren’t cutting it, either. But what, exactly, can we do?
We can grab a bag & a magnet or grapple and go find this stuff, dispose of it responsibly making the environment better for future generations & the wildlife.The comments of support & donations keep us going but the real thanks is when we see the wildlife returning to an area we have cleaned.
We have dedicated ourselves to pulling tons of rubbish & scrap every week out of the environment

Well done, Dave and Ray!! You haven't had a wheel clamp in a while, so it was nice to see that coming out of the water. It's nice that the stove-pipe topper found a new home, too. You should have a canal-side jumble sale with all the windliasses, fenders, and such you recover!

Ray already has a home for those items and they do get reused thankfully, we try not to scrap something if it can be used again, thanks for watching

I heard Ray saying “no Frankie?” I know which magnet fisher you’ve been watching to be saying that. 😁 great job cleaning the waterways Dave and Ray, I’m sorry I didn’t get to see y’all this years event but I’m glad I didn’t make the drive just to be trying to magnet fish standing in 1-2’ of bad water, I hope y’all didn’t get sick or or anything from what I understand it has a bunch of mercury and other stuff in the water there.
