Sorry, but connecting the beauty of gardens to belief systems that fostered ignorance, prejudice and fear is an anathema. Of all the spectacular gardens I’ve visited when in the UK, I can’t recall any that evoked any connection to faith , unless it’s was the odd Greco Roman temple 😎
