I have honestly had such a love/hate/pain/comfort relationship with this song. When my boyfriend of six months showed me it, I thought it was beautiful and I listened to it all the time with him. As time went on and our lives became crazier and more painful for us, this song was something I would try to avoid, to forget the painful memories of all the good times we had. It’s been almost another 6 months since then, and after a break between us, we’re both ready for a relationship again and I feel like this song perfectly captures both the pain and the joy and nostalgia of raw love.

This song has already become so nostalgic. I used to stay up at night when I should've been sleeping just to read the Heat Waves fanfiction. Honestly, I miss those days. It was only a year ago, but it feels like such a long time. So much has changed but this song really brings me back. I didn't realize how happy I was missing out on sleep and being tired the next day during remote learning, just to sometimes mute the class and read the fanction some more/watch George and Dream. the fandom rlly has changed a lot, and i'm sad to see the direction it's going in. I have hope for it still though. Y'know I never expected a fandom to have such a big impact in my life. I just know when I'm older and look back on this, i'm going to smile and maybe even cry. oKAY SO HERE'S A FUNNY STORY i was out for the groceries and went like in the washroom for obvious purposes and i set this song, THIS _EXACT_ VERSION, as my ringtone and then this random girl walked in to wash her hands aND THEN MY MOM _CALLED_ and mY PHONE WAS OUT BESIDE THE SINK and she paused and looked at me and then i looked down on her hoodie _IT WAS A DREAM HOODIE I STOPPED BREATHING_ and with this song playing in the bg (and me ignoring my mom's call out of not knowing what to do) the girl and i looked at each other and nodded in silent understanding and i sHIT YOU NOT, she went "i burn you?" and it was muffled because of the mask she was wearing but i heard it and went "you melt me." and we laughed and now i found myself a new friend lmao

i have my speaker balanced on my head with half stuck off either side!! it works too (mine's an altec lansing mini lifejacket jolt, it has two speakers- one on the left, one on the right. it has bass out the back side too lmao)
