    starry night Ya I didn’t realize how long it would take/ how painful it would be to sleep on it lol. it’s been so long since I’ve done it + my hair wasn’t as long before. For me, looking back on it, the outcome wasn’t worth the time/pain lol. I guess it was more of an experimental video :) thanks so much for watching 💖

    Tips, when you do this hair style make sure your hair is damp it will help with the curling process, also use a curling cream when you do this hair style because once again it makes the curls defined and helps with the fizziness. Hair is different for every I have curly hair but this is what I do maybe it’s a little different for people with straight hair. Good luck if you do it again!

    Aw the knots themselves look so cute on you! If you want a slightly different method that's easier to sleep in: tightly flat twist your hair against your scalp (like cornrows but twists instead of braid) and bantu knot the free ends against the knape of your neck. It gives curly waves, kinda like a 30s flapper style. I'm not sure how it would look on long hair, but it would be interesting! Great job!

    The 2 quickest and easiest methods for overnight curls (best for straight hair) are wrapping it around a hair donut on the top of your head for looser waves and twisting it flat against your head for tighter waves. For the donut put your hair into a high ponytail in front of the crown, slip the hair into the donut, separate the ponytail into two sections and wrap them around the donut in opposite directions. Pin the donut to your hair so it doesn't move. For the flat twists, separate your hair into three sections, two on the sides that go down to the nape of the neck and a mohawk section on the top that also goes down to the nape of the neck as well. Twist each section in either direction flat against the head until you get to the end of the nape, then wrap the remaining length of the hair into a pin curl/bun and secure with bobby pins. You can lightly spray your hair with water for both methods before or after you warp or twist, but I also recommend applying a volumizing mousse to your hair before you wrap or twist to give the hair some hold. Make sure hair is only damp and not wet or it won't dry by morning. When you wake up unravel and unwrap gently so as not to create frizz. These methods take only 5 -10 minutes to put in and they are much easier to sleep on. the donut method gives more volume on the top and they are available in both small, medium and large so you can vary the size of the waves. The twisting method gives a tighter wave :-)

    You're welcome. I also just saw a video from Kayley Melissa where she does a version with a rolled up t-shirt she calls halo curls which is excellent and better than the donut I think: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fpOB0ZKRc8iwodo.html. It gives bigger looser glamorous waves :-)

    The easier way I’ve found to get amazing curly hair overnight and it’s comfortable to sleep in is to grab a medium sized section of your hair and separate it into 3 sections like you would to braid it. It takes a little bit of practice to do this but basically you take the first section, twist it and hold it in your mouth or something, and then twist the rest of the sections. You’re going to take those sections and braid them as tight as you can and then attach them with an elastic at the end. Because they’re braided, they don’t come undone. And then repeat that around your head doing like 4-5 braids. When you wake up you undo the braids and you have beautiful twisted curls when you separated them and they look really natural. Whenever i do it i have people ask if my hair is naturally like that

    @@TracyD2 the elastic part was the end of the instructions. What she's saying is that you're starting as if you're going to braid your hair. So you'll have three strands but instead of braiding normally you're going to twist each of the strands and then braid the three twisted strands and secure the braid with an elastic.

    If you twist less tight, it will be easier to sleep on and manage the takedown. Also have you tried French twist? It’s easier and will give similar results. Finally, put a serum on the hair before you twist it to help it be less frizzy. (Disclaimer, I don’t have your type hair, but I think this would work for you. ) x Rose UK

Watching KZread, I realized that I was creating a Bantu curl...But they came out real pretty though.

    ...Looks like little black roses! I spent 2 hours doing this 2 nights ago with washed/damp hair. I did not have any little bands and used bobby pins to secure. MISTAKE: Impatient taking down and separating the little snakes. CORRECTION: Restyled 3 more times with serum and oil, then shine spray. Brushed with soft boar's hair brush. It will tame out. My husband loves it, but I will not twist so tightly with gel/damp and I will get the little bands!

    If you try to wrap your hair without twisting it, if that makes sense, then it’ll keep it from doing the rope thing plus it won’t frizz. Also the pins will be flat so you can pin it to your head with pins and be a lot more comfortable to sleep

    It looks great and I couldn’t sleep in buns as well. Try braiding hair like French/Dutch braids or even better upside down braids which it is a 3 strand braid that is upside down which you flip your hair upside down and do it. Sleeping in braids is so comfortable

    You do not have to do as many knots or do them quite as tightly and it will still curl. Just might be a little bit looser curl.

    Looks nice, but to improve the curls and how they come out you should dampen you haur before you put them in the twists and when you take them out gently seperate from bottom to top while twisting it to keep the curls in a nest pattern

    You look really pretty with curly hair. It brings out your eyes! Try putting L’Oreal Out of Bed Texturizer in each one of your sections. It will not leave your hair sticky nor stiff. It just holds the curl. You can still put your other stuff you like, but it really helps get the hair to curl. I like that it doesn’t make me have stuff curls after. It just feels soft. Thanks for your tutorial. Curly hair suits you very well! . I also use the chopstick curler if I want super tight curls. Your curls will last a whole week. But I can’t say it’s very healthy for the hair.

    Janička Nguyen you should do it when it's 75% dry and brush it throughly BEFORE. In the morning don't brush it or use hair mousse

  • @jupiterdoe1776

    @jupiterdoe1776

    Definitely try to avoid brushing it, cause girl I can relate. Products for me just make it straightened immediately. Just lightly tug the strands apart with your hand and occasionally puff your hair up so it doesn't weight down to easily. Honestly a struggle tho! (I don't take hair out till right before I leave so it will be hella curly for at least a few moments while I am out)
