Right I don't know what people were talking about. I had the fight 8-4 easy. Shawn had his moments. In the second or third round Spence landed 8 body shots out 10. One strayed low and the other one was right on the belt. Shawn turned Spence through out the fight, but Spence was eating those punches and was giving great punches.

That is why I was shocked by Porter because not only is he a wild fighter, he can actually box and hit you with different angles when he wants too and his energy is crazy. That is what shocked me about Porter. Spence brought out Shawn's best game. If he didn't get knocked down, the fight would have been a draw imo and then a rematch.

Tough fight, but if they would have gave Shawn the fight, and he got outlanded and almost sent into space with that knockdown in the 11th round, then that would have been complete bullshit. I wouldn't doubt if they fight again and Porter more than likely gets stopped. It was a good fight though.

If a rematch were to someday happen following their explosive 1st fight, what better back & forth to precede it than what Shawn & Errol were starting to get into. The Truth earned the decision, & I know he still has some recovery to do - I also know it was a great fight, & I wouldn't mind seeing Spence/Porter II in the future.

We need more competition like what was displayed here. I miss fighters from the 80s and 90s, everybody was a competitor. Nobody ducked anyone, they all eventually fought at some point. Spence was getting credit by compubox when he wasn't throwing punches.... I remember in the early rounds the punch count jumped from 69 to 72 punches landed for Spence when he was just standing in the middle of the ring... Spence landed nut sack combos all fight

I don't think Shawn prides himself in that. I think he really puts it all on the line. He just keeps coming up a little bit short against the top of the line boxers. Brooke, Thurman, and now Spence. O don't think he likes working that hard to lose by a little bit. But at least he's fighting the best of his era in their prime.

I get that heavyweights make for exciting fights but other than the results the only big moments happened in 2 rounds whereas this was an all-out war from round 2 all the way to the final bell. I may not care for Wilder-Ortiz 2 but if the last fight id anything to go by we're in for something good with the second fight. I expect AJ-Ruiz 2 to be FOTY contender though, especially if AJ is more disciplined in the fight. But their first fight hell no...
