I've been watching videos of Devon today. What I see is that Devon is the ultimate showman. He does a great job of creating excitement and interest to the arm wrestling sport. I've noticed that he takes his losses and wins humbly. After the competition is done, he shows sincere sportsmanship. I wouldn't even be watching these World Arm Wrestling matches if it wasn't for Devon putting on such a great show. Devon doesn't act like the typical meat head. He puts on a terrific show.

Devon Larratt is the Bill Murray of armwrestlers...lol. He's a legend, hilarious, skilled, and keeps calm and laughs everything off. See the eye contact? Notice Todd doesn't make eye contact and seems a bit awkward or intimidated? And Dave let's his temper show, has to use his macho persona to communicate under pressure. I have no doubt they're all great guys and all great arm wrestlers. But when it comes to personality and being the one everybody is focused on, it's Devon. That's why they say he's the face of the company. He's the dude who, in high school parties every girl gravitated toward haha. He's just got the larger than life charisma... and like him or not... he is exactly what the sport needs. I'm not trying to trash-talk Michael Todd or Dave Chaffee, but Devon just brings something more to the table! (See what I did there?) The dude commands attention and is very smart, notice how often when he talks people just listen? He may not win every match but he's definitely one of my favorites right up there with Brzenk. Maybe they need “drama” because WAL is slowly dying and getting less views then when it was before. Remember when WAL was on TV? Now it’s just online and look at the Dave vs Micheal match. Barely any views. They know if Devon is in the match it’ll get more views so they (WAL) tell them to start shit together to make it more interesting. I don’t know that’s what I think. Maybe WAL is telling them behind camera how to act. I could be completely wrong though.

The issue is less about the microphone in this case and more the room acoustics. Echo chamber. What they should do is make a regular feature of this at the table on the morning of the match. There wouldn't be an echo issue at the match table.

The more I watch arm wrestling the more I love it, it's a great sport with lots of interesting characters, story lines etc. Plus it has much more strategy and skill than I first thought. With the help of videos like this, getting people more involved, I'm sure it's going to start to appeal to a much bigger market soon

@@Sunrise1781 Maybe 1v1 if unarmed. Devon is big and strong especially for a special forces guy. They are elite and have amazing training and skills but they aren't super humans. No way Devon would 1v3 these guys. Even heavyweight UFC fighters would have a fight on their hands trying to take these guys on unless they got three knockouts in a row... Special Forces are not there to dominate their opponents in a straight up fight/firefight - that's what the infantry is for. Put these three guys in a bush and given them knives and guns then devon takes them no problem lol

Devon is my favorite #1 personality and arm wrestler. He is owed a lot of respect for making the sport more mainstream. Don’t mistaken his antics for arrogance as it’s all part of the mind games to win. Devon is a very good dude. Make this guy give up every match! Let’s get this title shot back!

You gotta know how to handle it. My uncle used to do that thing where he would wiggle his forearm left and right, to where then you knew you didn't have a chance, lol.
