Forgot to mention the problem with Bowden tube clogging could be due to not being cut correctly at the end. If it is skew it will also lead to clogs. The Bowden tube cutters are great to prevent this.

Thank you so much, I would love to be on the podcast. the fabric in the yellow print was too thick to get the PLA to connect with the back side with normal printer settings

Had the bed level problem before and couldn't figure it out. Turns out my x gantry was loose and not level. I was trying to level the bed to a wonky gantry.

I bougt ender 3 about 6 month ago, and until today i've never single success printing, i have try every trick on youtube and nothings change. My problem is the filament stuck because of heat creep so the filament at the front getting expand, its bigger from intsboriginal size.

Ah, if you have heat creep, look into making sure your fan is cooling the heat sink enough. If not, figure that out. You also want to make sure your PTFE tube is seated properly in the hotend :)

First one said he's running a RAMPS 1.4 board. The Anet's thermal runaway issue was in their firmware, which he's not using. As for the retraction issue - it's a direct drive with a small melt zone and they print fine with no retraction if you're using Cura and their weird wipe move is enabled (it's on by default). Otherwise, 2mm @ 30 works fine. Edit: Forgot - most A8's produced after 2019 have the firmware already fixed, but as there's no way to tell without testing, check those A8's, people! Edit edit: Forgot to say - Nice and informative video! Thank you for posting!

The Anet's I have looked at are all RAMPS boards from the factory, so maybe they replaced, it maybe not? I am always a retraction guy, those MK10 extruders can be picky though. I would agree 2mm @ 30mm/s is pretty good. Glad they got their act together, but that name is banned in my shop lol! Thanks for the kind words!

@@3DMusketeers Oh, yeah, I forgot those were somehow RAMPS boards. If his says Anet 1.4 on it, it definitely shipped with the dangerous firmware. I was given a fleet of A8 machines and immediately tore them all down to perform safety upgrades. Marlin, new bed connection method, MOSFETs to get all the current off the board and some mods for the endstops to increase their accuracy and repeatability. Years have gone by and I've gotten rid of all but two of them because they just print so nice and fast with a .5 nozzle but at this point they're like grandfather's axe, and could hardly be called an Anet. Unfortunately, the cost of getting away from a frame that's essentially made out of fuel means it's never a good deal, so I totally understand your ban. :)

Once they first started catching fire we immediately put out a service bulletin to those we knew had them and walked them through the upgrades. This was pre KZread days for us.

@@3DMusketeers I was maintaining a page for collecting all the safety info in one place and helping people understand why they're dangerous (and how to alleviate *most* of it) but I recently changed hosts and haven't put it back up. I probably should, as it was getting 30-40 hits per day. I'll quit bugging you in the comments. I'm sure you have more content to work on. Thanks again!

Definitely put it back up, this industry seems to ignore BLATANT safety issues like no one's business. It would be great to see something showing this in more detail for those that need it! You are not bugging me, this is what we do :)
