Hearts should immediately stop chasing this player and look for another option because he has already chosen kotoko so why waisting time on him

Apart from the factors i enumerated I above, most organized teams negotiate the deals and have a rough estimate of the money they need for the recruitment before making a request from the owners or majority shareholders They will not negotiate one and go and collect money, and then negotiate again and go and collect and so on

The people misinforming the fans are the sports presenters, especially those on this platform. They usually will say "Hearts are almost done with player A or B"; the moment the coach or officials contact the player. In most cases, proper negotiations may not have been concluded OR even started at all. When they wait for a few days and the deals have not been confirmed by management, then they start complaining that management is delaying. They keep on saying most of the players the clubs are chasing are FREE but that's not entirely true. Most of the players they claim are free have between a month to 5 months remaining on their contracts and you either sign pre contract with them and allow the contracts to fully expire before signing them permanently provided their contracts will expire before registration deadline OR negotiate with their clubs and pay whatever amount they charge you. Example Hearts payed GHC 70,000 for Kofi Agbesima last season and GHC100,000 for Awako last 2 seasons with their contracts remaining less than a month to run out

I wonder whether you presenters on this channel do a proper research on your stories before coming out. A little education: Buying of players is not like buying tomatoes from the market whereby you go to the market, asks of the price, make payments and take your tomatoes away. It's also not done with a coach meeting a player and telling him he wants the player to play for him. After the coach, sporting director or other officials have informed the player of the club's interest, the real negotiations will then be arranged to start at a convenient date to both parties. IT MUST BE NOTED that negotiations can sometime drag depending on what any of the particles want to be part of the contract or not. I can forgive you if you were ordinary fans, but as presenters, you are expected to educate the fans about how recruitment is done. But unfortunately, you are always rather miseducating the fans with false news. Most of the players that you claim are free agents are not actually FREE as of now. Some have their contracts ending at the end of this month, others in August September and so on. Olympics took almost a hundred thousand from Hearts Of Oak for Awako who's contract was left with a month about 2 years ago as the deadline for registration was due. Why will a club pay a hundred thousand or more cedis for players whose contracts are left with a month or two to end whilst the deadline for registration is not due and pre season is not starting? OTHER REASONS FOR THE DELAY Because of the current hard economic hardships in the country, most of the players first OPTION is to travel outside the country. Most of them will only settle with local clubs if they fail to land foreign deals. It is rather most of the players who have assured Hearts and Kotoko that they would play for them who are delaying to sign the contracts because they are trying to see whether they will first get foreign deals. Officials of Kotoko and Hearts are not fools NOT to conclude the deals if there are no problems.
