Really!! As a avid Heartland fan, have the entire collection plus the books the show was based on. Have watched those seasons(1-13) at least 6 times and I don't see any comparison of season 14 to 16 incl. to the early ones. The last 3 have been nothing but soap operas as we see it. Strictly ridiculous with absolutely no storyline! I realize you are a script writer as I have followed some of your writings and you, I believe, are the only big fan of Lou!! Haha! But we will have to agree to disagree on our view and that is good, as it is what makes the world turn as they say! For us Graham was the core of the show as he brought his character Ty to real life on the screen, with the characters Jack, (Georgi & Malory in early years), Scott & Caleb being good role characters. I for one was not a Amy fan for all the terrible treatment she did to Ty over the years. Actually did not enjoy the Flemings at all! Simply not nice people, all about themselves! Just my thoughts! Take care.

When they were forced to get away form the books the series was supposed to be about and write the scripts themselves is where they got into trouble.. And they still are! Im sure the folks who write the scripts are fine people but writers they are not. I had a good friend of mine say something to me once that still holds true today for everyone. She said people will always remember the bad things you do and never the good things.

@@AudioMasters Your friend's saying is so true in every aspect of life! I really believe Heather Conkie was the main problem when it came to what Heartland became. She should have stuck to whatever Exec producers do and leave writing alone. The worst episodes throughout the seasons were written by her. And Amber had a part in it, as well, as she is on record of saying she had a big say in how her character Amy would act out the scenes with Chase & Amhed and others. They were the worst acted scenes. I can understand a 1 or 2 season show perhaps not having much of a storyline but a story that was to be based on a series of books and you totally stray away from them and start piece mealing scripts just doesn't work for me. Too hard to follow and no storyline. I often wonder how much of a writer's script is changed by the higher ups?? Cause like you mention if what we saw was what the writers actually wrote then for sure anyone could be a writer! Lol!

@@Ty-ty8ty I don't mean to criticize anyone for what they do. I get it you have to pay your bills put food on the table roof over your head and clothes on your back and sometimes we all have to do things we don't like or agree with. I work in the entertainment industry as well but i have a code of ethics i live by and i am very passionate about what i do. I lose a lot of work because there are some things i just will not do and the main ones are being a phony or being told to do something i know is not right. I been seeing a lot of phony ads pop up like ty is coming back or Amy dies or Amber is getting divorced. and i am starting to suspect that the producers or the network has something to do with that to draw attention to the show. I told an artist in Nashville once that if she had to take her clothes off to sell her music then her music must not be very good. Got me fired but she is regretting now not listening to me.

My Favorite Show Since The First Time I Started Watching This I Just Felt In Love Because I Love Horses Too 😍

I met the cast at CBC years ago.

This show just gives me a reason to live ❤️

season 16 look so good i love heartland that i watch it over and over but it just don't feel the same without ty in it but still a good show to watch

I have been watching this from the beginning best way I can you know you find it on one station then if you can't find it you go to another station and any event I did get to see them all except for season 16. I live in the USA that's why and I'm very disappointed that I don't get to see it I love that show.

This season is so good seeing Amy back working with horses again. Logan is a great addition! I'm also kinda rooting for Finn and Amy. But at the same time, Ty and Amy were the fan ultimate couple so it would be interesting to see how they put Amy and Finn together

@@nkatt1022 I believe they had filmed a handful of episodes. Not sure though. So you think there would have been a Finn/Amy connection!! I believe there would not have been. Close perhaps but think they would have Amy remain single. They had a picture of Finn and Amy almost kissing but I think she pulls away before it happened. That was were Ty and Amy had there first kiss plus she was still wearing her rings. I just can't see another guy in the works. Friends yes lovers no! But hey ya never know.

Ya I kinda like her too! She is alot like Georgie & Malory when they were young. They all kept Jack on his toes with there antics! Need more laughter in the show it's got too sad and everyone seems depressed! Certainly nothing like the early seasons.

I hope Jade and Georgia are not in this season they are trouble makers l which Ty was he should of been able to raise his daughter

It's an appaloosa that's been painted to look like a zorse. Animal cruelty much? Wonder how the handlers and actors on this show would react to a coat of paint being slapped on them and paraded in front of a camera?

Not saying its right but I wouldn't say its "animal cruelty". Also, actors have to wear makeup all the time which to me is liking wearing a "coat of paint".

@@athena3586 Actors have a choice the horses don't. And its not just the paint some the episodes i have seen have the horses made up to look like their sick with makeup which i am against as well. I used to respect the guy that owns the horses and the people who work with them on the show but lately i been losing respect for them over the way some the horses are treated. I really thought that Marshall would have spoke out against that. You do realize that make up when made is tested on animals like dogs, cats and other animals.

@@AudioMasters Do animals ever have a choice though? It's not like they chose to "act" or be shown in a movie. Heck, they don't get to choose anything in their lives. I mean do horses get to pick their owners, their names, what they eat, where they live, etc? Do dogs get to choose where they go on walks, what collars they wear, etc? Or any other domesticated animals as a matter of fact? No, humans choose for them. The argument that they didn't "choose" something is flawed as they never really get to choose. You're simply arguing that something isn't right based on what you believe. Which is fine as it is humans who fight for animal rights. We, humans "choose" what constitutes abuse and what doesn't for animals. They don't choose, we do. Animals feel pain and have emotions. I'm not saying that they don't show these emotions to let others know how they feel in certain situations. I'm just saying that they don't really get to choose. It is up to us humans to see these reactions, emotions and interpret what they mean. We then choose how to care for them. As for the makeup. Yes, I know that it is tested on animals. Unfortunately, many products are. I personally, don't wear makeup as its always made me feel uncomfortable. That's why I compared it to the paint. I'm not saying that I agree with the animal painting for scenes. I do, however think that calling it animal cruelty is going too far.

@@athena3586 True but humans all have a different philosophy about how they should be treated. We as humans make the decisions about how these animals are treated and do we make the right ones? I beg to differ with you over animals picking their owners. Yes we can force them to stay with us and even do things for us but at the end of day if you don't share some kind of bond with the animal then its just another possession we claim ownership of. Most people don't realize it but animals are a lot like us. They have feelings, wants and needs just like we do. So as long as someone you put up on a pedestal is making money off it then it is not right but not animal cruelty? I wonder if they tested the make up or paint on the horse before they painted it to make sure the horse didn't have an allergic reaction to it? And what if the horse did get sick from it then what? Toss that horse aside and go get another and start over? Wonder how they get the paint back off? Paint thinner and steel brush? Shave the hair off? Wonder if the horse stand stills and lets them put it on and take it back off or do they have to immobilize it? There are some very questionable things these people are doing to these animals that no one seems to care about and i'm not just talking about this show. It is all the shows they use these horses in. You know animals were not meant to be painted or makeup put on them. Anyway we can agree to disagree.

@@AudioMasters Okay first of all, I reserve the word "cruelty" for actual cases of abuse and neglect with evidence behind it. Not speculation and what ifs. Your whole second paragraph is a bunch of what ifs. You're saying that these people might have not have tested for allergies. Do u have proof of this? No, its all speculation. They may have had to immobilize the horse? Emphasis on may have! Becuase you do not actually know how they did it. Heck for all you know that horse may have been nice and calm at the time and you're going off on a tangent for no reason. You can't just go off and crucify someone on a bunch of maybes, you need evidence. What you're doing is seeing something you don't agree with and automatically making negative assumptions as to how it was done. Now I'm not saying that the things you pointed out (not testing for allergies, immobilization, etc.) are okay. In fact I do agree with you that they are bad and abusive. However, I'm not going to go out and say that these people are abusive based on speculation. In my opinion the act of painting animals does not constitute abuse in and of itself. If it was done the way that you speculated then yes it is abuse. But again you dont really know that it was done this way. For all you know the paint could have been tested and everything was done with the utmost care so as to not hurt the animal. Also, I'm not saying this simply because its a show that I like as you seem to have speculated from your "pedestal" comment. I'm saying this as a general statement. As I've seen people dress up their pets and put makeup on them plenty of times (Halloween, for example). Dogs with painted nails, dragon costumes, blush on cheeks, etc. Do I necessarily agree with it: No. But do I view it as a cruelty also no. Believe me the pets were fine. As for them not being meant to wear makeup. One could argue that they were not meant to do anything that we humans force upon them whether good or bad. Horses, for example, were wild animals a long time ago. Humans have domesticated them. So in actuality anything that we do with them is not what was "meant" for them.

Well something better change quickly HEARTLAND/Harlequin its an ADULT Soap. Watched 16-6 tonight. Actually Tim and Shane reunion was good. If your into adult soap opera's it's GREAT. In seasons 1-13 use to be not totally predictable but now IMO its a screwed up mess.Writers better figure this out Quick and it had nothing to do with Ty/Graham not being on the show anymore. It's painful. Except Graham might have sinced it was going in this direction and got the crap out of their.

Loved the show, but you killed off tye, unforgivable,I cannot tolerate discarding , what is jack next, I am soooo tramatized. I may never recover. Cut the cable, due to your not being showed on direct tv that I already was paying for. So i cut the cord. A new birth, whew i do not want to do that again.

The actor Graham Wardle who played Ty wanted to leave and move on in 2020 that is why he was killed off he was too important to have just fly off like Mallory never to be seen again. This series has been going on for much of his acting career and he wanted to move on to different projects stop blaming the people who are still making the show

@@WovenWilderness Kate Graham was miles ahead of all the actors on Heartland, he brought his character to real life for all the true Heartland fans. That is why the vast majority were not happy with how they ended his character. They possibly could have replaced him in some way like they did Katie, might have been hard in finding someone as talented as Graham was! Sure it was his choice to depart but killing him off just doesn't seem like the right way to go. And any true Heartland fans will tell you this show has not been the same since he departed and has turned simply into a soap opera which we do not need another of those garbage shows. The show should have ended at end of season 13 with something like Ty)Amy/Lyndy riding there horses off to there new home in the valley with the wild horses roaming beside them. Then put Lyndy on the swing that Ty built for her! Lol! Then if you Soap fans want have them start up another show maybe call it "Heartland The Young and Useless (I mean Restless)! Lol! I have watched along with others who believe there has not been one episode so far in season 16 that has any storyline! Really. It is the last season so I guess moaning through 10 more episodes won't hurt. I along with many others will go back and watch the real Heartland seasons 1-13 except the episodes with Chase& Amhed! Those were the worst scenes as far as acting went! Especially Chase who sure was no cowboy! Anyway each to there own so continue to enjoy(10 to go!!)

@@Ty-ty8ty j c j c (since you want to be condescending) There is a difference between aging up a character the way they did the Katie and Ty a main character becoming a different actor considering how the previous season had ended a complication with that serious of an injury is honestly something that was an easy way to write him out since he wanted to leave. I do not think a new actor was the right way to go and they are doing the most with what they have been given in continuing the story which they are doing because it is still getting renewed as it is getting views. As someone who has watched the show for 10 years now and rewatch every year before the new season (since you seem to want to imply I am not a real fan also read the books) personally I think they have made a lot of progress so far with this season returning to what it was in the first few seasons some of the middle seasons were also messy and not great at times too much drama going on but that is the life of a long series such as this it has its good plots and its bad if you feel the story should have stopped in season 13 with them going into a valley there is no reason you cannot pretend that is what happened at stop watching. It is a fictional TV show it doesn't always go the way you want it to or imagine it should just like life doesn't

I referenced the riding into the sunlight for Ty/Amy/Lyndy as a thought as hundreds over the last few years have said that exact same thing would have been a nice ending. So I guess in your eyes they are all wrong! And I did not say they could replace Ty I said perhaps. I don't profess to know how that would work but killing off your best actor doesn't seemed to have worked for them as far as fan support. I was surprised to see you have read the books as few have. I am staring at the book collection as I type as I have the entire collection, along with season 1-14 on the discs and would think I have watched each no less than 6 times. Some of the better seasons many more. As for the rest of your comments we will simply agree to disagree as what you see I see a total 360 degree. Heartland as it started was to be a family drama for all ages within the family and as a result of Heather Conkie input in particular her writing the scenes involving Chase, Jeremy and Amhed it quickly became a PG drama with scenes not suitable for children or young teens. Then with Graham's departure it took its biggest drop in fan support and has been dropping in leaps and bounds ever since. The only reason there is a season 16 is they had to find a way to conclude there ridiculous past 2 years of piece mealed scripts with absolutely no storyline. The actors are tiring, there acting is no were close to what it needs to be and the key actors are wanting to leave for other projects and personnel interests. I will mention I reside within a stone throw of the filming scene and we do hear things around the coffee table we will say! There is unhappiness on many fronts and within actors. Sure that might be the case on other movie scenes as well . But the crew likes to come to town and there comments are not all that nice on some key people on the show! You believe the brass are doing the best with what they have. While others would suggest that those same people are why there is decention in the ranks. Anyway enjoy Heartland for 10 more weeks!

You are so right Cynthia they don't practice what they preach do they. No different with Amy how many times have we heard her talk to Lyndy about her father! Not one sighting of Peter in 5 episodes. Wouldn't you think he would have visited Katie at least once especially with all the turmoil Katie is having with Lou. Heartland brass have really skimped on the real family values. That's what happens when you change to a soap opera show!! However I believe we will see Shane in tomorrow's episode 6. He apparently is clerking at a law firm in Philadelphia and supposedly Tim is hoping to meet up with him while Tim is in NY with his wife Jessica at some art show. So we will wait and see tomorrow when episode 6 is on.

Her actions in episode 6 to get Amy to take in the Zebra/horse saved it from likely a slaughter house! Last year she got Jack interested in solar power for the farm which is great!! I don't see the connection of her believe and choices as political. I can think of alot more ridiculous things on Heartland much worse than her actions. Amy and her need for a new man otherwise the soap fans will parish for one!! Take care!😊
