Had a match where one of my newbie friends was playing a guy. It lasted like 20 minutes or something. The opponent was out of cards with 3 hp and board control. My friend had 1 hp and 3 cards in his deck. He top decked a Coldlight Oracle and milled his opponent.

Its impossible to know what your opponent is doing. Its completely random. The only guarantee is that there is no guarantees. Your opponents are either completely insane, or the smartest brains on the planet. Rank 18 truly is the strangest place in azeroth.

Rank 18 is where experimental decks that are showing promise end up. There is no meta between 20 and 16. Up to rank 20 is mostly standard decks, higher than 16 are popular proven decks.

To be fair, up until this point, I thought pinging counted as an attack in terms of "When your hero is attacked" - it doesn't say "When a minion attacks your hero" or "When your hero is attacked by a minion", so I figured it effectively meant "When your hero takes damage". So I'd have probably thought "Either or, if it's Ice Barrier, he's going to get 8 armor" too.

I crafted it because I keep a complete Mage deck as it's my golden deck. It has it's moments as a card but without taunt and counterspell up, it gets rekt way too often for a 15+ deck. The only upside is, at that rank nobody expects it.

Husky basically fell off the face of the earth, Day9 mostly does his own things (including hearthstone videos) but no starcraft anymore. Haven't heard from HD or Psy in a while, not sure what they're doing. LAGTV is still casting starcraft (pretty much the only casters left at this point) but they're not really a "learning" series.

I was literally crying the entire time that was so hilariously bad.

I swear, it's far easier from rank 7-legend than it is from 20-13. No idea why. Maybe it's the lack of variety, but I always do really well when I get above rank 13.

This might sound stupid but the statement "I have no idea what that secret is" is actually what I want to see in this game.Right now you always know what your opponent has,what is in his deck,what his strategy is,and everybody plays the same decks over and over again.Play to win,yes,but also play intense and fun games.This is why I always play Wild.The people there are a bit more creative and fun loving than the netdecking people at Standard.

What did we learn from this? 1) Anomalus is trash 2) Yogg-saron is the best card ever created 3) Someone should stop using their mother's credit card... 4) Stop playing C'thun with those fucking cards... 5) I'm dead inside.

Cart crash made actually Anomalus my MVP. So, I was playing a mage with second class shaman, got Reincarnate. Anomalus actually acted as a board clear+ 8 damage to face, which is pretty great.
