I think it's to do with the insanely long delay after the animation ends (similar to Serpentshine and the ol' North Sea Kraken)

This is a pretty fun deck. I started with Kibler’s version and made a few modifications (took out burrowing Scorpid, Frozen Shadoweaver, and Injured Tol,vir and Scavenging Shivarra, Brightwing, and Hex)

Dropping that Deathwing made me feel so satisfied. Thank you Kibbler.

@5 Dollars Swipe left a 5/1 on the board and didn't bounce back Zephrys. Now, Zeph didn't understand the deathrattle part, but it certainly understood that killing the 5/1 was better than not killing the 5/1.

I'm glad you added the quest back

honestly I still hate that interaction. I saw it and I stopped playing Hunter entirely.

Long and grindy some of the most fun match ups.

The fact that his opponent was able to stay in the game for so long is exactly what is wrong with Rogue, and perhaps Hearthstone, at the moment. "Just play around it."

That gyrocopter. We've all been guilty of things like this, probably even worse, admit it haha

9:28 feels like there were better options here, like if you doubled up on your battle cries and got a shadow word: ruin, kills both the big guys but leaves small things on the board and you get another zeph card. Though maybe you needed to prevent the weenie damage, I think you coulda delt with it next turn.

Is anyone other than Kibler playing Lurker Below? Especially after the buff, it seems to me that folks ought to play around that, rather like how we used to play around Crushing Walls.

Kibler made some misplays in this game too, though admittedly not as bad as that one

Wait, counterspell works against flare? I feel like Flare's effect should take precedent over it! Edit: And 'Never Surrender'!? Again, I feel like Flare's 'Destroy Secrets' effect should take place before any spell secret triggers

While I can understand why you would feel that way, making it work differently than literally every other spell in the game would not be a good idea, from a game design & accessibility standpoint. It's important for games like this to function in ways that are consistent and predictable. Letting one spell and one spell only take effect before secrets that trigger on a spell being cast is a really bad idea.

Kibler would be great at teaching card games to people

There must be some defect in humans' brains that makes them put every new minion on the right. Because faceless lackey is placed on the far right a solid 90% of the time, even among the best players, and that is always strictly wrong. It still makes me mad.

@@Mathias.Soderlund Dire Wolf Alpha will be stranded on the edge. It's true that you will only get it about 1% of the time. It's also true there is literally never a reason not to go for it. It wouldn't surprise me if people were just throwing out faceless lackey wherever, maybe equally often at any position. But there is an inexplicable bias to nearly always put it on the far right, the only wrong place to put it. It doesn't make sense. It's like HS players around the world have developed a strategy to do the wrong thing just for the sake of it.

I pretty much only play a variation of this, diamond 3 now :) But I keep getting dicked by Highlander Hunter slaves.

2:41 terrible trade from a legend-ranked player... seriously?????

The comments are all up in arms about how bad Kibler's opponent played, but Kibler made some pretty bad misplays too that no one is noticing. The trades at 12:40 were really bad. He should have attacked the 3/2 with Walking Fountain instead of the 2/2. Kibler's 3/3 should have cleared off the 2/2. Much better to have a 4/4 and a 3/1 left over. Instead, he had just a 4/5 and nothing else. Also he planned at 4:04 to double Alex but didn't count his own cards in hand, so he didn't realize he was going to have too many cards to do it. Could have easily used a Frost Shock with his 1 leftover mana on the previous turn to prevent this. Instead he had to do a weaker turn.

The gyrocopter trade ruined my whole week, seriously is the most disgusting thing that I've seen in long time
