    They're hardly comparable. The Djinni combo is across 4 or 5 cards rather than 2, sometimes requires an Emperor tick, doesn't scale with any extra minions you have on your board, and the individual combo pieces are very weak in isolation. Meanwhile, Force of Nature + Savage Roar was flexible enough that you could throw it into almost any Druid deck and you wouldn't sacrifice much to get it.

  • @SuperNate42

    erich casey So the "take control of minion for rest of turn" would only make sense if the minions could, ya know, do anything at all when you take them. To make the card remotely usable, the minions have to be able to attack on the turn they are stolen. To do this, these cards actually give the minion charge for the rest of the turn also. So, when you cast the spell, FIRST the minion is stolen, and it is now friendly minion, so djinni copies any effects cast on it, and THEN he minion is given charge via the spell, and so the djinni copies charge since it was cast by a spell onto a "friendly" minion. (Hearthstone only looks at boardstate for "Friendly" "Enemy" tags, not the original player of the card) If my explanation was pretty shitty, which I'm sure it is, Disguised Toast makes a detailed video explaining the mechanic

  • @erich1380

    @erich1380

    7 жыл бұрын

    SuperNate42 i watched toasts video and while i technically understand why it happens the way it does, i just feel like it shouldnt work that way. its a spell thats cast on an enemy target so i dont understand why it transfers over to the djinni. I guess they decided it should become friendly before the effect transfers over to your side of the board. Just comes down to coding i suppose. This was definitely what ben brode was talking about when he mentioned the unicorn priest. Although potion wasnt out yet when he brought it up, shadow madness was. (even though it was more mana it should still be viable with a full hand tick with emperor

  • @IdleAtre

    @IdleAtre

    Because hearthstone works with a pile system, multiple effects from a single spell are pilled one after another, in this case scenario, the "give charge to the creature" is applied after the "take control of the creature until end of turn" because why not, and when the "give charge to the creature" is actually applied, the check for "friendly" is TRUE since we took control of the creature already, so the effect is duplicated onto the djinni. A way to "nerf" that would be simple, they would give charge first and then take control.

  • @TheSquareOnes

    @TheSquareOnes

    7 жыл бұрын

    You take the creature, then give it charge so you can actually attack with the creature. The second step happens while it's friendly so it triggers the Djinni's effect.

    Djinni of Zephyrs created a strategy that revolved around trying to defeat your opponent in one turn without requiring any cards on the board. Fighting for board control and battles between minions make an overall game of Hearthstone more fun and compelling, but taking 30+ damage in one turn is not particularly fun or interactive.

    Zachary Adler he doesn't have to credit anyone. because he doesn't credit anyone's deck to begin with. why should toast be treated like a special snow flake

    Watching Kripp play this deck on stream made me realize he's been balls deep into Curvestone for so long, he has a lot, and I mean a lot of misplays. Always rushing through, missing tons of lethals. Then he goes about calling other players bad...

    Tried this in like 10-12 games - won 2 - I know I probably didnt play perfect but you have to tell me where to find opponents that play shitty enough for someone to get a reasonable chance to win with this deck.
