Another idea for a duel: you can only end turn if button is green. Therefore if you have any legal action you can take - you take it.

I had an idea like this, but as a regulatory rule for something like a 'try to lose challenge', where you'd make the worst deck possible and try to lose while your opponent's doing the same. A rule like this would ensure the players have to actually do things on their turn, but they can feel free to misplay as much as they like.

Both players draw from the same deck, are considered to have infinite life and mana, and must make as many legal actions as possible. When one player makes an illegal move, they lose. I might be misremembering some of the specifics, but that's the rough idea.

I love this format and all these recent colabs. It would be cool to do some of the same ideas with different people. I haven’t commented on it yet but the family feud video has to be one of my top 5 favorite rarran videos ever! Please do more of them.

What’s the deck code for the mage deck Rarran was using?

4:00 Aggro or midrange decks should be good, stuff you put only proactive cards in. Targeted removal spells are bad because the opponent might have no minions: this can make control decks good if the opponent is forced to shoot their own stuff, but that happens only if they have those cards. Minion combat becomes much more important because it's less dependent on when you play the cards.

The rule is they have to play the top deck card at the start of the turn, it's not that they have to play the top decked card by any means necessary

maybe its already said, but eddy could have played synthesize to fill his hand and burn a card to play pyro

To be fair, having to play the card first doesn't really specify if it's supposed to be the first action taken or first card played. Either can have drawbacks (for example forcing trades to play a minion you drew while your board is full) @@TheImpatientGam3r

Would either of you guys be interested in a series where you teach an uber noob how to play? I played vanilla back in the day for a lil bit I think and since I've only played battlegrounds. I spent 10 plus years on mtg and league of legends so any basis I had in regular hearthstone is gone at this point. I, as a viewer, always enjoy these kinds of series' and also would love to get into regular hearthstone as mtg is so power crept now, it's no fun.

It wasn't specified whether that means first before other playable cards in hand or first before performing any actions. If Rarran meant the latter he should have said that.

Cards like Pyro are useless in that format. Unless you topdeck a 0 cost card or have coin, you basically can never play it

i don't want to sound mean but some of the editing in this video was really nauseating. the screen constantly zooming in and out hurt my head and made it hard to finish the video. it starts getting really bad about 8 minutes in when rarran plays the suspicious alchemist, from that moment to eddy making his choice there are probably over a dozen zoom in and outs. that said, this was a fun challenge to watch and i always love when lt. edward makes an appearance. steam guardian
