A group of us went to see Heart at MSA in Indy on 7/19/1980...my sister Allyson was in an auto accident later that night and didn't survive. This song came out later that year and I first heard it when I was visiting friends in Jax FL...it's special to me. Allyson would have loved it!

I heard this again yesterday for the first time in a long time. I ended up putting on loop in my car and cranking it to 11. Must have listened to it at least 20 times and it never got old. Thanks Ann and Nancy for making me smile.

And the Saturday Night Live version just proves that she could do it all outside the studio as well. No autocue, no Fairlight, just superb vocals - she absolutely nails it again.

God I love the 80's. Man, we were too busy living it up, being spoiled of all the beauty and great rock n roll around us. We didnt stop to appreciate it. Now, i look back and think, Wow!

This version of this song got released when I was a teenager around Christmas time and everytime I hear it, it brings back memories

Tell it like it is.....No one can hold a candle to Ann Wilson's voice.....

It takes a very special kind of musician to take a song that was created by someone else and blow it out of the water. This is a perfect example of that. Ann Wilson is the Aretha Franklin of rock and roll. The vocals on this are fucking amazing!

I hate to say it, but in my opinion, this version kills the original. Ann's voice is an instrument that nobody else can play. I love these ladies!

What a perfect cover rendition of this great Aaron Neville song as can only be sung by Ann Wilson, the greatest female vocalist in Rock music...not even arguable, IMHO ! Ann was a Fox during this time period !...No doubt about it !! and I, Just... "Tell it like it is" Oh, by the way....Aaron Himself...has said he likes this rendition by Ann, very much.

I don't know that I would say that Ann is gorgeous. An amazing singer with a seductive voice and powerful lungs who can belt it out like few others can? Absolutely; but she doesn't look like she used to. Nancy, on the other hand, is still smokin' hot.

Aaron should like it ! Ann gave the song " heart ". Aaron's was restrained - didn't have enough emotion or urgency for me The blues guitar in Heart's version is stunning .The vocal is mesmarising !

Billy Joe Royal sang this one when I was growing up in the 60s. Aaron Neville put the soulful sound to it with his beautiful voice. However Ann Wilson takes this to the highest level ever imho.

I just watch 6 hours of heart, NONE of the songs have the voice, looks, sound of this one JUST FUCKING WOW

Ann knows how to play the camera. From :40 to 1:00, she has that wanting look as if one was to cup her face in his hands, she would tremble. This is a sign of a true performer. Of course her voice is unsurpassed. And IMO, Nancy is highly underappreciated. She has a velvet voice and is a great guitarist.

Heart at their sexiest (look at those "come hither" looks...yowza!) but also at their most melodic and creative. The harmony and sax parts give this classic some real punch...I absolutely love this song and their very capable rendition of it.

The Seattle sirens... luring you onto the rock Of.... What, maybe Mercer Island,?! What a beautiful voice! Dreamboat Annie... She gives me Goosebumps! I wonder who 'Flash in the Pan', "Joan Jet" did to get into the rock and roll hall of fame ahead of these girls! Heart has been rocking it and rocking it good since the seventies. I dare say they've had a hit album before and more recently then Joan Jet. In fact, Auto corrupt keeps trying to turn Joan Jet into Joe bet, yo bet, bow jet,... It's like it's never heard of her... "WHO?"

The saxophones on this cover are incredible, even though they don't do much in the song

Anybody who knows me, knows I'm 100% Old Skool R&B and Soul. Every once in a blue moon, a cover will surpass the original. Ann pushes aside the floating falsetto of Aaron Neville and attacks this song like Teddy Pendergrass. The harmonies, the sweet guitar solo. Perfection!!

I hope that "Heart" continues to sing their songs and that they don't let anyone or anything take them away from what they LOVE doing in life for their gift is what really matters right? there will always be ugly hateful jealous people in the world but when GOD gives us this GIFT of music we must be strong and not let ugly words deny the righteous gift of music an we must let the music give us our strength and keep the music going on and on, thats what is IMPORTANT !!

Eric Swanson: Nancy gets a lot of positive attention due to her musicianship, vocal harmony and her pretty fabulous looks. Haters have bashed Ann for gaining weight, so perhaps much of recent discussion about Ann, the music and her place as (arguably) rock’s strongest voice is intended to push back.

This, 1980, is when I believe Nancy was at her hottest. The peak of sexiness, in my opinion. The end of this video is so charming; Nancy is so adorable dancing with her guitar. I couldn't be a bigger fan of this flawless band.

Didn't know Heart recorded this. Great rendition, but seriously love the harmony in it.
