@purpleghost4083

+lluven1bld The reason the synths (or other instruments) are often seemingly too loud is because this sounds like it is a monitor or reference kind of audio mix/feed and therefore not necessarily a properly balanced one. This may or may not be the same level balance that they are actually listening to in the control room. When you listen/watch closely to all 3 parts of this video, you can hear those times when it seems like he is obviously soloing certain parts for a few seconds. For example, watch closely as the camera pans around when Denny is drumming. You will see that he is clearly drumming but you will hear the drums cut in and out at certain times. That's a clear indication that the engineer and/or producer is pressing the buttons on the console.

@@dampergoldenrod4156 I didn't question it, did I? In any case, it should be noted that those artists you mention were largely, if not entirely, phenoms of the 1980s. Thus, with the exception of "jacko" there was little to compare their 80s music to. Heart hit in the 70s, and developed a certain sound, and fan base, that may have questioned the value of their new 80s material. It was a departure.

Crime of the century that this song was not released on a 3rd Ron nevison heart album. Flashdance meets drama rock a marriage made in heaven.

They put out super albums with Ron Nevison. What happened? I felt Desire Walks On was a huge step down from their previous albums.
Tremendous lost songs from Heart's mid 1980s Ron Nevison era that should have been placed on an album
THEY ARE GORGEOUS
I would love to hear a finished product of this song.

+Stevie Bon YES! And especially when the rough studio cut sounds THIS good.
Ann feels the way she sings. She's the Queen of Rock.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Ann is incredible!
Love the synths and the incredible vocals
WOW!! SHE IS BEAUTIFUL I LOVE ANN THE QUEEN OF ROCK
They are such kids here, yet so powerful. Love the gum. So gifted.
1:23 and afterwards. This song is a total gem. If there was no more room on the 1985 or 1987 albums this should have been put in Brigade in 1990 or recorded for a movie in the mid 1980s. This was too good too not have been heard by millions of people.

+Davin Dx your damn right about that, my friend...apparently it's been on KZread for awhile, but I just discovered it today....have listened to it like 20 times here in the space of an hour or less. Don't care what other singers have recorded, won awards for, nor how many millions of records they've sold, NO ONE can touch Ann Wilson....
Anne.... you are a fucking goddess!!!!
Still waiting for this to be released
Thanks for the share. How neat to have these!
Sound at 1:22 reminds me a a rock version of Flashdance music. It is awesome!
Powerful rock and roll vocal of all time. This is my idol.
These videos are amazing!! Power house vocals. So much feeling. They always bring it. 😎🤘💀🖤
What a find. Love it
Hit!!!! Thank you for this!
After watching this a few times, I have to wonder just far along this song is.I think the melody is basically written but the individual parts for each musician are still being created and edited as they go,.Except for the keyboard players who have some notes,, every one else seems to be playing by ear.I am thinking they just practice this over and over until it feels good and then mix it, play it again to fine tune and then record.I would love to see the notes on this session.Would be very interesting indeed.
Heart are timeless!!
unmatched Vocals,,,,she is incredible!!
Yes! Ann is an amazing artist! She can sing much better than a bird! And that's even an understatement! Anyway! It's 2024! And she's still singing straight from the soul! Thank God for women in rock and roll!❤❤❤
Heck Ron Nevison should have done a solo album with Ann in 1989 and a solo album with Grace Slick shortly before or after. A great producer with two powerhouse female rockers.
flawless and always on point she his a natural raw talent not so much technical singing just pure talent she his great love her
This one just hits me in the heart (no pun intended) every time! Amazing and so full of emotion!
Oh Yes, I enjoyed it alright. Every other day I have to listen to it. One of the Greatest singers that has ever been! She is so cute too.

+MICHAEL DAVIS man, if you scroll back up through the comments section here, you'll see my posts about this formerly unknown song to me. Apparently it's been available on KZread for awhile, but I just discovered it today, 4-18-2016. I'm gonna have to listen to it a lot more than every other day for at least a year or more....been a rabid Heart fan since the Dog & Butterfly days...see 'em live I guess...like 14-15 times now...getting to meet Ann in person is on my bucket list of lifetime wishes....
Awesome share!
She thinks her voice sounds dead? Haha Her voice was just hitting a new level of awesome in the 80’s regardless of all polish.

I think it was an issue with the audio in her headphones. She wasn't hearing what we are.
That’s an interesting choice of vocal mic Ann is using in the studio.
Thanks for sharing.
Awesome performance and this song haunted me
Awesome
Great song!!
Fun stuff. Thanks much !
Super stars Wilson sisters!
It's really unique to see how HEART came up with their music 🎶. People don't see the hard work/behind the scenes work that it takes. Besides their raw talent.
Gostaria de ver mais ensaio como esses👏
This is a tedious process.
By the way, this is one project I don't mind hearing all those 1980's synthesizer sounds, but it does seem to overlap Ann's voice often.

Soooo good
release this song and the Kraken.
She Belts!
Just think, this is without auto tune and her real voice. Amazing!
Best Queen of Rock N Roll. She has some serious pipes on her. Beautiful woman!
Hit song.
Her vocals are so powerful it gives you chills.
Denny Carmassi's drums sound so freaking great.
Love the song
They could've had 30 studio albums if they weren't so GD worried about their frickin hair.
すげぇ…🎉
...da most brilliant and tatented female powerhaus!!

The Best is right!
I wonder if this was written by people outside of the band. While I love the self-titled album (which these are sessions from), I never understood Ron Nevison's obsession with all those synth sounds. But I wish they'd release a decent quality recording of this.

I had a VHS of this when I was a kid. It was a copy of a copy. Was this officially released or is it somehow a promo or a leak? I don’t know because I got it from a friend who got it from a flea market
Comments and corrections welcome but this song seems similar to Wait for the answer, off the same album title. I wonder if they felt this song was missing something and they kept it in a can only to modify it and release it years later as Wait for the answer? Idk. I like both songs and would seen this song (title?) Released back then.

Someone please tell me this song name,,,how is it that ive never jeard it ? Its great ,,,, Seeing the comments i see that its not released in album or something
Why do they have those keyboards SO LOUD?? Sounds like crap drowns out all the good shit even Ann's voice almost
Imagine you where dating either of the Sisters and then they introduce you the other sister you’d be like wow these Wilson sisters are something else
Too bad they’re not working on Never, These Dreams, Alone, What About Love, Nothin At All, etc….
This must be 1984
Looking a little Ronstadt ish ANN
But what's the name of the song?
Where is 2 of 3?
Shame why Ann Wilson never had own children. ???? So at least her daughter could drag her legacy again. Maybe Anyhow woow performance in the studio back then. Amazing

It wasn’t through lack of trying! Both Ann and Nancy had fertility issues, a family issue. Plus she struggled with relationships in this period. Finally married Mr. Right in 2017! Nancy’s twins came from a surrogate for the same reason.
From the 70s to about 83 Ann was so smoking hot!

Not bad, but not on par with the old seventies Heart.

I agree in the 70s heart was at its best In the 80s they got a little bit away from their rock roots and went a bit too much mainstream pop in my opinion , but they were still great.
Is the footage of the doing coke on here?
