Why the HELL was this NOT on the album! It's great!

This is my all time favorite Heart song, wish they put it out

One of their best! Would be awesome if this ended up on a "rarities/B-sides" compilation someday!

Shame this didn't make the album. It stands up with all of the great songs from this record. What an assemblage of great tunes! Had a lot of good times with these songs as the soundtrack to a fun time to be alive!

My favorite band in mid to late 80's! Great concert in "87" too!!! Still enjoy these songs!

Their producer notices that Heart's previous few singles had flopped. Most of them, as this song was, were written by the Wilson sisters. He pressured the band to record material written by outsiders.

What a cool song!

Wow-- haven't heard this since high school. I had it on the B-side of a 45. Thanks so much for posting this. Great '80s light metal song.

This was an excellent style for them - like a blend of Journey with Dreamboat Annie. The track RSVP from Bad Animals similarly. Really wish they'd written more of their own stuff in the late 80s in this vein.

This style has “bite.” Their own material (If Looks Could Kill, Never, Easy Target, RSVP, Bad Animals) was getting better and better in the 80s, providing the albums with bite. Same was true for the album Brigade. The tracks where Carmassi was involved (the night, falling from grace) were a cut above the rest. They could’ve cut out “All I wanna do is make love to you.” That song turned many away from Brigade, which otherwise, sounds powerful.

I was such a Heart junkie that I would buy all their 45s, even though I had the full album anyway. I remember really digging this song and wondering why it wasn't on the album. Re: music back then... Yeah, I feel like it was better. Current pop/rock doesn't seem the same-- but I thought that's just because I'm getting old. :) (I'm 40.)

@BadAnimals1987 I know! I wish I could have loved in the seventies and eighties when all the good music was out and being actively appreciated. I first heard of the song on ebay, when I saw a copy of the 'What About Love' 45. But, you can buy the UK CD Single, 'Never/These Dreams' and find it on there. I bought it, and it has songs like the extended version of 'Never,' this song, the music video version of 'These Dreams (7" version)', and a rare 1988 live version of 'If Looks Could Kill.'

I love this song! thank god I kept my WAL? 45 RPM.. I was actually hoping for a 20th or 25th anniversary edition of this LP on CD with this and a few other missing tracks, (like "The Heat") along with the orig. mixes and remixes...would have been nice to have a bonus live CD as well....I have 3 pressings of the Heart LP...the orig which the cover states The Wolf as the first song has the orig. versions of Never and Nothing At All....the CD mix of If Looks Could Kill is especially awful. The LP version has so much more going on. My favorite Heart tour was Passionworks…."Sleep Alone" was an awesome opener. And they played all the older songs close to the original tempo. Once the Heart LP came out the older songs were done entirely too fast.....for "quite some time"

I mean, I knew nothing about it until I was looking up Heart memorabilia on E-Bay, just to peruse what was there. I saw the 'What About Love' 45 and saw this song. I went looking around for it, and found a place that has a bunch of rare Heart mp3s, this was one of them. You don't have to be embarassed -it is a REALLY rare song!

Speaking of Europeans, I did have to buy the rare UK single with this song on it, called 'Never/These Dreams.' :) You did? Wow, that's awesome. I didn't know anything about this song until I bought a radio station issue 45 over 25 years ago. Tried to digitize it a few times.... Bleh.. Someone please find/make a clear version...!!

This version is actually an mp3 from the CD Maxi single. I don’t know much about digitalizing music, but I don’t think there is a clearer version to digitize than the CD Maxi single. Unless Heart decides to remaster and release some of their B-sides in a collection of some sort, I think we’re stuck with this one…

We found this,(16.6.2016).

This was released in 1985, as far as I know.

IMO, tickets were VERY reasonably priced ($70 per ticket). I saw them in Bethlehem, PA at Sands Casino. About 250-400 people. We were center stage, row 20!

Sorry, but I too cannot locate the lyrics to this song... :( Being partially deaf thanks to a eustachian tube blockage that I got from whooping cough almost nine years ago, there are some lines to Heart's considerably rare songs that I cannot decipher without consulting lyrics. I actually think you might have just a couple of the lines wrong, but the rest I believe you got down pat."The wings of the wind" sounds more to me as "The wings ON the wind." I'm partially deaf, so this one I'm kind of on the fence about. You might be right as it is, though... Gah, why didn't Heart ever release the lyrics to this song?!"Were fingers in our hand" is very clearly "With fingers in our hair." It makes far more sense grammatically.Thanks for posting this!-vixenrevitup

Not to worry, I have managed to work most of them out but there's always that one line that refuses to be picked out! :) Trust me to decide to cover an incredibly rare song that the lyrics are impossible to find! Thanks anyway!
