Health is strange, when you are in good health you never think it will end, once bad health strikes in can destroy all your plans. I came a bit late to my philosophy but do the adventures you have planeed NOW because if you save them up you may be too late. Retirement may be a magic time but don't defer adventures till then. Good to see Slaw recovering, may you both have lots more adventures to show us on your super vlogs

Great advice . I had an attack in 2022 two stents fitted lower left side at 59 yrs old .came out of the blue changes your perspective of life . Love your vidieos all the best for this year .

Good to see you back in the fold Slaw, On new years day whilst having dinner at my Grandaughters I passed out and having had heart attacks and a quad bypass the ambulance arrived within 7 mins and transported to our hospital 20 miles away and only waited 20 mins before being admitted to A andE, after various checks and 2 nights in hospital it was concluded I had " fainted" . Back home and told not to drive for 6months and only having bought a campervan 4 months ago this was the biggest blow. Take care and keep taking the pills and I will continue to follow your great videos

If positive attitude to life and love of one another improves your general health, then you have years ahead of you! Great to see you up and about. Places to visit? Inner and Outer Hebrides would be a great vlog with islands and small ferries. We are heading as far down to Siena in Italy this year, maybe an Italian trip for you too! Need to get away from our Scottish snow. Oh, we bought a Silver Screen last year and I told the lady Mr. Slaw had recommended it. How surprised was I to be told you were her plumber! Stay safe folks!

Watched my Dad have his first heart attack at 57, the same age I am now. It was quite a bad one and he spent a week in intensive care until they stabilised him, after a week on a ward, he came home, the next day he had a stroke. Mum and did our best to look after him and spent many hours with him working on his speech. 5 years after the first heart attack, he had a second major one in the garden at home, Mum said it was like someone flipped a light switch, he died immediately. That morning I had reversed out of the driveway at home and waved to him, he was stood in the dining room window watching me, it was the last time I saw him alive, he was 62 years old. This year it will 28 years since he died, a few days ago it would have been his 90th birthday. I don't think I have ever got over lossing my Dad and I doubt now I ever will. I remember all the things he talked about doing when he retired, he was a Plumber and had his own business, he never got to retire, he never got to do any of those things that he wanted too. So Slaw, you watch your health, look after yourself but make sure you and Mrs Slaw live, every minute and do all the things you plan to do, don't put things off for another day, just in case that day doesn't come. None of us knows how long we have on this earth. So make the most of the time you both have, hopefully that time will be long, with many more memories made in Helga and many adventures and travels. Wishing you both a very happy and Healthy 2024.

My husband had 2 stents put in last July. He'd been going backwards and forwards to docs with pain in his chest. They kept saying nothing was wrong and it was just acid. He wasnt very well when we went to turkey at easter. Just walking up a few steps he was in agony. Finally went back to docs in june and said they must be something definitely wrong. He had tests dne in march at the hosp, but never had any results back . He was sat in the docs surgery for them to turn round and say oh we r sorry some results are just showing up on the system. Saying he had 3 blockages and 90% blocked . With in 2 weeks was in having it dne. But first said it was more complex and he may need open heart surgery. Anyway they did the stents after 5 days and he seems ok, but have told him it may come back again which said it wld be open heart. Sending all the best to you for 2024 and you can get back on the rd. Xx❤

Best wishes for a year of good health, my husband had a LV cardiac issue and had a stent fitted last year diagnosed from breathlessness on exertion , it was the trigger for us to follow a dream and we took a year out and bought our motorhome and travelled , hoping to try France this year … YOLO the kids say love your vlogs Keep smiling x

Sorry to hear your story, we don’t follow now as we sold our Motorhome this year and now have a static. This was due to health problems and although we miss Betty van the static is now our happy place. I had an aortic dissection 7years ago and am medically managed so life goes on. Take care and do stop to smell the roses perhaps the roads traveled this year might need to be shorter but hey those roses smell lovely ❤

Steve from Halifax here (you certainly know which one now (Calderdale Royal)) What a shock to learn what you have recently been through. I am so glad that He is doing ok now. I celebrated my sixty fourth birthday on 26 December and I have been rather worried about this as my Father died from a heart attack, five days after his sixty fourth birthday. I know that events don't necessarily follow history in families as my Paternal Grandfather lived 'till ninety two. Hopefully you will adjust to things and be able to entertain us with many more adventures.

Thankyou I am 56 years old I had 4 heart attacks when I was 50 I have never been offered rehab I am really struggling with anxiety thanks to you I have just booked my self in at local hospital to start my 6 to 12 week rehab once again thankyou Mr and Mrs slaw and happy travels .I only have 1 stent also Portugal sounds nice for your next adventure or Malta

OMG. Just watching your latest Vlog. We had no idea about all of your history of heart issues just your last one. Bloody hell so pleased you have come through it all. I too have had an ablation (nothing like what you have had) But enough to know how you must feel. Enjoy life and try to find that balance. Love your vlogs and feel like we know you personally. How awful for you. So sorry to hear what's happened. Hope all goes well. I'm sure both of you are now appreciating life I lost my wife 2.5 yrs ago. Diagnosed with cancer & 6 weeks later she passed away. So now wherever I go in my Campervan. I tell people to appreciate what they've got in there partner. It can be very lonely on your own. However I joined camping club for singles yr before last. Which has really helped me. So love each other & enjoy your life. But be wise. Not to much exertion ❤❤❤

Best wishes to you both. I know exactly how you feel. I am 6 yrs post Triple Bypass. Only symptoms were angina, first felt on Christmas Day 2016. My Christmas present 🤣. All OK now, continuing my moho trips to France, Spain & this March to Portugal fir the Schengen 90. Keep going, keep filming, keep enjoying. 👍👍👍👍👍

I started havind pain and did nothing about it for 3 month and after a telephone conversation which my wife set up I had the test and to my suprise and everyone else who knows me went in to Sheffield hospital and came out with a Quad bypass !! So its great and good of you two that you have put this message out there to never discount any pain and get checked out. So thanks again and cant wait to see your adventures in 2024 Xxx

Can’t find my comment, I’m an idiot with technology. I sent a link but perhaps that’s against rules. For my own reasons I have read Dean Ornish and Michael Greger on reversing disease. They have helped me physically and given me confidence. So in a quiet moment I would recommend a look. It’s not necessary to follow their ideas 100% but I’m so glad I found them. There is something very engaging about you both, perhaps your talent for fun. I love Mrs Slaws energy and Mr Slaws deadpan humour. Some of the reasons you are appreciated by so many. Aww just seen this glad he's OK. My hubby is the same only 4 days ago he had surgery where they burnt the top part of his heart so fingers crossed no more problems anyway glad he's OK take care xx
