It’s amazing how politicians throw that term around when even though a democracy has some similar aspects to a republic, it is in truth a form of socialism/communism where the government controls all aspects of its populace and the founders of the constitution warned against it with one of them saying "democracy never lasts long, it soon wastes, exhaust, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide". There are many quotes regarding democracy from the makers of the constitution and when speaking of it as a form of government, none of them are good.

Yes please look it up and you will find there are multiple forms of democracy, small d, and a Constitutional Republic is one of them. And especially in our case as a multiple State country that utilizes a Representative Democracy in both our Federal and State governments. A 4th grade Civics refresher course may be helpful for you.

Anyone and everyone living in NYC that pays attention to NYPD Crimes Statistics knows for a fact that CRIMES are SIGNIFICANTLY DOWNGRADED - starting at the street level by the responding officers being ordered to do so by their superiors before the paperwork is even filled out because that makes that "Sector" look safer with less crime - and then further DOWNGRADED & DISMISSED at the County District Attorney level thereafter. And NYPD CRIME STATISTICS are OVERWHELMINGLY UNDERREPORTED directly as a result!!!! Many times attempted sexual assaults and assaults with a deadly weapon charges are downgraded to simple harassment misdemeanors! So to hang one's hat on NYPD Crimes Statistics as LEGITIMATE & ACCURATE is ABSURDLY PREPOSTEROUS at a minimum and purely SMOKE and MIRRORS POLITICAL PONTIFICATION aka BULLSHIT at best!!!!

You always cut out what is being said and only listen to one side? How ridiculous. Even in the cases where the opposing side is spewing all lies, you should carefully listen to what is said, and the facts put forth on both sides if you even want a shred of a chance to learn real truths. This is the issue with voting for a special team like its a fucking football game. I'd like to encourage you all on both the right and the left to empty your precontrived notions and actually pay attention to each other without hearing the first thing you disagree with and then slinging insults and disparagments. You know, I might listen to this attack on Merchan and the outcome of this trial, if the committee also discussed and investigated Aileen Cannon and her refusing to recuse herself from the trial of Trump in the classified docs case. She was appointed by Trump and her actions have shown obvious bias in favor of Trump. Where is the fairness of that?

I’m beyond baffled that people presumptively believe Trumps actions are legal in his January 6 insurrection behavior. There was no weaponization of the Supreme Court. Only legitimate appointments confirmed by the Senate and then liberals who expect the Supreme Court to rubberstamp their illegal agendas throw temper tantrums and threaten the justices and encourage insurrection of a real kind (as opposed to the non-existent kind of January 6th).
