This is a wonderful video! It really sweeps aside the unfair misconceptions that ballerinas are haughty anorexics. Really great :)

It's "Berocca," it's a tablet you put it water and it makes it orange and fizzy. It contains lots of vitamins and minerals, it's supposed to improve your daily physical performance or something like that, I take it, it's good :)

The adrenaline thing never occurred to me before!I understand how it works and everything, but I never thought to apply that to the real world! It must be a huge strain on the body, wow.

Because when you've had your feet squashed into a tight pointe shoes and you've been dancing strenuously for maybe even 8 hours, your feet will have swelled to massive proportions. They'll probably be in a lot of pain and they'll be red and puffy. What do you do when something is swollen? You cool it down. With that in mind, with feet double their size you'd probably want to dunk them in a big bucket of ice wouldn't you? :D

yeah. it's been 7 years since you've commented this but everyday after class my favourite thing at home is dunking my entire lower calves and feet into an ice bucket (and food). It feels sooooo good.

No offense to the ballerinas out there: I’ve never imagined a ballerina eating jellybeans. Since my mother was forever like, “THEY MUST EAT LIKE, ONLY A BIT OF YOGURT AND AN APPLE AND SOME WATER, TO STAY THAT THIN,”
