Healing With Red Light Therapy with Ari Whitten - Dr. Osborne's Zone

In this show, Dr. Osborne will interview Ari Whitten, an expert in infrared light and health. They will discuss Ari's early interest in the science of light and how he started experimenting with different light sources. Certain parts of the light spectrum, particularly blue light and red/near-infrared light, have significant effects on human biology. These lights interact with hormones and genes in our body, influencing various functions such as energy production, growth, repair, and inflammation reduction. Light is like a nutrient for the body and humans have evolved to require specific light nutrients for optimal health.
They will also discuss the differences between red light and near-infrared light and their respective benefits. Additionally, Ari will address misconceptions about infrared saunas and provide advice on sun exposure based on skin type and melanin production.
Make sure you join us LIVE on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM central for the discussion!

You are fully correct if you replace the word “evolved” with the words “we have always existed” under the sun . “my simplified understanding is that we have always existed under the Sun and so the mitochondria in all our cells need the stimulation of light as much as plants do!” Not trying to be provocative. But the potential for greater understanding of life on earth depends heavily on abandoning the idea of evolution (much becomes clear at that point). The theory of evolution is a limiting belief. It will obscure truth always. That’s my opinion. Cheers

Lived on a tropical Pacific island for a couple of years many decades ago. When I moved back to US, I noticed a decline in health & feelings of well being. Thought it was just moving back to a seasonal, cold climate but also likely to be missing intense sunlight. Have been doing red/infrared light therapy for 4 months now & do feel better after contracting Lyme disease from tick over a year ago. Peripheral nerve pain/arthritis diminishing. Enough improvement to be committed to this therapy for the rest of my life.

I’ve been using a panel from Future Form Official, a company in Norway, which my doctor recommended. It's affordable and highly effective. After years of trying different treatments, red light therapy made a significant difference. Within weeks, my pain reduced and my mobility improved. The scientific support behind it is impressive, and I’m grateful for the info shared here. Thank you!

Red light infrared therapy has been around for more years than Ari stated. It started with equine (race horses) probably 35-40 years ago. Ari was not the first to use & figure out about them. He brought it to the public's attention maybe 8-10 years ago? Maybe 15 yrs ago a mass marketed company (Light Relief therapy) sold a cheap unit (as sold on TV for $69-89). Currently, there are many companies making them. The prices are crazy overpriced. There is another internet guy named Alex Fergus (in New Zealand) that rates many units. Dr. Mercola prefers Sauna Space units instead of the infrared ref light pads.

I couldn't find brand recommendations so I took a risk and earlier this month purchased an "Elfeye Red Light Therapy Belt" on Amazon because it had decent reviews and included a good coupon savings. I paid about $50 after the coupon. The biggest benefit so far is that it has eliminated a frustrating pain in my right leg. The muscle in the front of my calf had been bothering for some time. I had tried regular heat pad and massage with little improvement. After using the belt only a couple times, the pain subsided. I do notice that if I don't continue the application every few days, the pain starts to come back. Perhaps it will take more time for more permanent results. In addition, I am using the belt on my legs overall and experiencing less leg cramping waking up at night.

So everything is created for US? Are we more special than any other living creature on earth, plants, flowers and so on? How does God look like? What language does he or she speaks? What does God eat? Can he get diseases? If so, who is taking care of him/her when sick. Has God cold or warm? Is God alone? Married? How old is God and how is he born himself/herself? Has God the need to cuddle or/and to be cuddled? Why do people all over the world ask help to God? Do people think God never gets exhausted from our screams, hurt, suffering, pleeds? Why do most people never see God in person? Why are people thinking that God exist? Even if they will never see him/her? I hope you can answer me. I have never met anyone, including myself, who saw God in one point in life. I also do not understand why some people think, we are the ones, who are entitled to animals, plants, the whole planet to just exist for ourselves. I see a bird, a spider, a skunk, a sheetah, a whale, a fungus, a yellyfish, an ant, an oak and so on and i never thought, they all are made just for us. I feel my whole life just as a species among other species. Nothing more, nothing less. Kind regards from Belgium. Sorry for my English mistakes.

I have noticed how good I feel now that I have a wood-burning stove to watch in the evening. I look through the glass doorI and I feel very very good when I am gazing at the red coals of the wood. Is this enough to stimulate bursts of cell repairing radicals?

Vielight is a company in Canada that sells infrared nasal units for stroke, Alzheimers & TBI patients. They range from $250-$3000. Dr. Lim has been making these units for many years. I met Dr. Lim at a health fare in Chicago many years ago. It used it for my mom who had a stroke.

Ive been using infrared light therapy for muscle pains after playing sports,ie squash, cycling, ping pong etc.,i can feel results after brief 20 minutes of incandescent red light/infrared spectrum, the light source is 150 watts incandescent light bulb. The results of DOMS ..delayed onset muscle soreness is greatly reduced.

I have a fantastic infrared unit and use it 15 mins every night...It does improve conditions that cause pain...Having so many health issues fir years this red light unit is like a miracle...aches and pains in joints and leg cramps are nearly gone...I love it so much I've bought a pen size red light to carry round with me,wouldn't be without it...if I travel I will have my therapy there with me...Not to mention the great feeling of well being...I do wear the goggles provided but many people don't,but eyes can get cataracts later so be careful...Now my African grey parrot is ill but I'm not sure about using this red light on her, although a lot of users do use it on horses and dogs...Will need guidance from vet next week...Great to find this chanel by chance tonight...Thank You...😊

I have lupus (SLE and Discoid) and react quite a bit with too much sunlight. I heard about infrared and near infrared a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I could only afford the hand held small light. I did the therapy just a few times. I'm going to start trying it again and try to be consistent and patient. I've never heard from professionals whether this could be negative for lupus patients.

31:26 - That reminds me that the red/near infrared panels popular now definitely have a lot of overlap into the far infrared even though the specific LED will have a defined spectrum in the red or near infrared. How can you tell? The radiant heat experienced by standing in front of the panel.

At 18:38. This shit blows me away!! The intricacies of animal biology makes me cry just as some pieces of music. I grew up without religion. When I was in junior high school my thought about god were boarder line Atheist. Then by the end of High School I would have classified myself as an agnostic. 50 years later I don’t think much of organized religion and never go to a church, but holy shit, today’s science is step by step revealing a divine intelligence! For example these little energy producing organelles in every 30 trillion of our cells actually have their own DNA! Additional these mitochondria are able to replicate irrespective of replication of the cell that they are in! Epigenetic phenomena: Eating broccoli causes certain genes to turn on, that are responsible to build a specific protein, that incapacitates dangerous heavy metals in the body ( from pollution) so that they may be peed out!

When is the best time of day for red light? I'm interested in knowing about which device to buy, what power level is good for a hand held device which will be efficacious for skin wrinkles, neck as well as muscle healing. Any advise?

I don't believe we have "evolved", but that God, creator of all things, designed our bodies to function in certain ways, and to benefit from creation as a whole. We are synergistic beings as a result of creator's intelligent design. That is the intelligent design of an all-knowing, loving, God. We are just evolving in our discoveries of how that creation works together! It's truly amazing, the more we learn, the more it is obvious.

A chiropractor friend got two Near Infrared Light treatment machines. He treated my lower back with it, it felt great. I asked him to put the wand right on my Occiput. I have adult adhd caused by a TBI. Also bipolar 1. The adhd thing is debilitating when I stop taking Ritalin. Just fyi it felt awesome when he used it on my brain. I went maybe half a dozen times before the light caused Bipolar 1 mania, so I stopped treatments immediately.
