Healing Palestinian Hate (from Jews)

Moments before the first rockets hit Jerusalem in May initiating the summer conflict of 2021, The Home (HaBayit) activists were engaging with different voices on the streets of Jerusalem about the future of the Land and its inhabitants.
A passionate conversation was sparked with young Israeli teenagers as they were challenged on their perspective on the conflict and future. Unfortunately, both the Israeli & Palestinain youth have been brought into a world with an ongoing conflict forcing both peoples to often see the other side as the enemy. Xenophobia usually stems from misinformation, negative experiences, or even a lack of positive experiences with another group. This is why it is so important to begin humanizing both sides, engaging with each other, and learning the other narrative/identity/experience/aspirations in order to have a more inclusive vision of what the future must look like.
Israelis who hate Arabs/Palestinains are a minority, but they very much so do exist. It is the responsibility of both peoples to also look within and to heal the elements of rejection that prevent or delay the unification of the Land and its inhabitants. The conversations had with Israelis who reject Palestinians are usual internal, but in this moment we were able to capture the conversation and are uploading it for all to understand how deep trauma runs, and how much we can grow out of this reality if we begin to invest our energies in healing and building, rather than rejecting and attacking.

You're not only healing the Jewish hate from Palestinians but also healing Palestinian hate from your fellow Jews. Thank you, Rudy, and come visit my country, Thailand, after Covid is over. There's no Jewish hate torwards arabs, its distrust, and there is no reason for us to trust them. Just yesterday a ISIS muslim went around beer sheva murdering 4 innocent Jews in cold blood stabbing each of them tens of times. A Muslim shopper who was unrelated was seen on camera walking by the bloody victims and kept walking as if nothing had happen. This happen during the Last ramadan lynching all over Jerusalem/Lod, Muslims went by doing nothing to help Jews because the state of the Palestinian culture is worst then the state of the Germans during ww2 was. Saying "both sides are wrong" is the direct equivilant as to say "both the Jews and the nazis were wrong".

Thanks Rudy for this video. I was born and raised in Abu Dhabi, originally Palestinian. I truely wish the day will come when we realize fighting one another won’t bring any good to us. Instead to raise generation on looking at difference as strength. Unfortunately, There are so many party poppers come from both sides that can’t see any other reality but polarization, segregation, and fuelling hate. This is a killing factor to any remanding spirit in the air for good things to come for a promising future.

One hates because their Quran tells them to hate us, the other is in fear and anger because they're sick of being bullied by this nation. Big difference between the two. The Jews would make peace in a heartbeat if Arabs show signs of peace, but they currently don't want it, they instead want the eradication of the Jews because their Quran describes us as pigs. @Leo the British-Filipino Kosovo is undoubtedly historically Serbian land. I say this as a Jew and half Israeli. Now bottom line is Kosovo exists and isn't realistically gonna be handed back to Serbia, and I do think human rights abuses by Serbia were certainly done during the uprising, but make no mistake the Serbian claim historically is far stronger and more concrete. The more pressing issue today is the discrimination against ethnic Serbs in northern Kosovo, who live behind barriers across the bridge from the Albanian side and relying on international peacekeepers for protection. Serbia signed the Brussels Agreement which opened land and air passage/normalization with Kosovo in exchange for a promise of allowing the Serbian community to create an independent national association, which is yet to be fulfilled. I also definitely appreciate Kosovo moving its capital to Israel and I have nothing but love for Albanian people as well. But I just wanted to give a platform to the Serbian side as well, as it is often misunderstood or not known of at all.

I once lived in a commune in Germany. It was an international commune and we had people from all over the world coming to do workshops. There was a point in time where a group from Palenstine were coming to stay and someone had accidentally also booked an Israeli group too. As you can imagine, people were a bit tense about what might happen, But apparently everyone just got on and had a fantastic time. When it came time for the groups to leave, they were all in tears as they knew they most likely wouldn't be able to see each other again because of the situation there. I also once met a guy from Russia in a hostel who told me that we are enemies. I told him I am no ones enemy. Our respective Governments may be having a dick waving contest with each other, but I have got no issue with any person I meet. It almost seemed indoctrinated in him, that we must not like each other because of where we happened to enter this planet. To generalise either group of people is just pure idiocy. Also, It's got nothing to do with a political belief, I never ever once mentioned my political belief or said if I thought one side had more validity over the other. You are assuming what I think. Which is why you are also assuming what you think 6.8 million Lebanese people are like as a single entity. "Jews have to be in charge of Israel (and the territories) if you don't want another Lebanon or another Gaza". So what you are basically saying is that The Jewish people should be in charge, and everyone else should do as they say and be treated as second class citizens? Sounds a little bit too Germany circa 33 for me that. If anyone should understand the dangers of classifying one group of people as superior to another then its the people who were victim to one of the greatest atrocities ever committed in mankind. In an idealistic world, both nations would be able to sit down and work out their differences and work together to a better future instead of just going round in circles battling against each other. The religion or background of who is leading the nation would be irrelevant as they are striving for the good of all people. Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world, and we still have a situation where neither side thinks they should back down.

I'll be honest, the solution is a lot more compliacted than what they've talked about in the video. I mean, I am jew who will gladly live with Palestinians, the idea of it on paper seems like a reasonable thing. I mean, just 2 coltures coming together and living peacfully among side each other. But the reality is - and I really wanna say it without sounding racist. Is that the Palestinians who are also arabs, have problems. I mean - I live in Ramla city, 7 years ago I was working at a gas station, all of the robberies at night that ever happened in the last 20 years, were all from arabs. just a staright fact. I believe that Palestinians are living in such low conditions and they are fueled with hate that they just tend to do more harmful stuff. It's just logic - If you raise your children among ignorant people with ignorant minds, their stupidity will lead to violence.

There is no Palestine and never would, if there was, it should have had large territories, like any other Arab state. The reason they claim this country as theirs, in the lines of the territories that belong exactly to the Jewish nation indicates that this is an invention born in 1920 to occupy more territories, this is the ideology, they see Israel as a neighbor who established a state here and they want even then the solution is wars and more wars. This is the State of Israel, Jews can live anywhere, without all this invention of returning territories. Let them return to Jordan, this is their nation, because there is no Palestinian nation. Abraham, the father of the Jewish people; moved from Ur (today Iraq) and the Bible explains the exact borders of Israel. The land Canaan was given to Jacob who name was changed to Israel. Jacob was the grandson of Abraham and Sarah. (Both grandmother Sarah and Grandfather Abraham were considered the First Jews who believed in the concept of ONE GOD; centuries before Mohammed was ever thought of and who supposedly founded Islam based on Jewish and Christian holy books. An interesting genealogy of Ishmael is as follows; Summarized history of Ishmael (ancestor of Arab tribes): Father: Abraham (regarded as the first Jew, who conceived the concept of “One God) Mother; Hagar an EGYPTIAN handmaiden - Second Wife. Stepmother: Sarai (or Sarah) a JEWESS married to Abraham (Chief wife). If one accepts the maternity of Ishmael - he would be considered EGYPTIAN. If one accepts the paternity of Ishmael - he would be considered JEWISH. After Ishmael was banished from Abraham’s tent, he together with his EGYPTIAN mother Hagar found their way to Paran where he (Ishmael) married a ‘WIFE OUT OF EGYPT” If one accepts the MATERNITY of Ishmael - he would be considered EGYPTIAN. If one accepts the PATERNITY of Ishmael - he would be considered JEWISH. If one accepts the PATERNITY of Ishmael’s descendants, they would be considered EGYPTIAN. If one accepts the MATERNITY of Ishmael’s descendants, they would be considered EGYPTIAN. Genealogy of ISHMAEL THE FATHER OF JEWISH OR EGYPTIAN DESCENDANTS

Rudy, you want peace, we all want peace, but its not as simple as you're trying to make it sound. From what I've heard, you don't have an actual plan for peace. If you do, make a video and say. It feels to me like you're a little to naive. If its possible I would like to have a talk with you, as an Israeli soldier who had to interact with so called Palestinians and it gave me thing to think about

Not hated but definitely feared. The claim is that reasonable Palestinians can go crazy at anytime and start their stabbing spree.

bro i agree on most of your arguments but generally Palestinians lebanese are descendants of Isaac not ishmael , u can say Arabs live in the najd province of saudi are ishmaelites . Arab is just a linguistic group and not ethnic actually . anyone who speak arabic and practice some arabic cultures are Arabs . Palestinians are more closer to jews than any other race
