    Great review, but you never mentioned backing tracks, are the lengths of the tracks the same on each machine ? i.e. 5 mins, and how many tracks can you load on these boards ? Your help very much appreciated.

    Can I ask you......how's the overhead on the pedal? Meaning does it have a good range of motion? I mean it should but it doesn't look like it does. haha I have a seperatelatge Headrush pedal and it's plenty fine. The mx5 just looks smaller and the range of the pedal just appears limited so I had to ask. Thanks for the info. Great stuff.

    Is it possible to connect an external switch and assign it to turn on and off ans specific effect from a rig?

  • @Rockefeller1

    @Rockefeller1

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes it's possible! With a MIDI switch, you'd be able to assign what effects you'd like to turn on/off, change to specific rig, & if you want to get fancy with it, you could hook the MIDI to your daw, & assign program changes in the track, so the rigs/effects would change on its own as you play

    i just finished watching the whole thing. great review man. but I'm still thinking of what to buy. the mx5 is 450 usd and the gigboard is 600 usd in my country. is the gigboard worth the 150 difference?

  • @Rockefeller1

    @Rockefeller1

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@darkflash32 Thanks so much!! No, I don't think the gigboard is worth the $150 difference in my opinion. MX5 has the same sounds, functions the same way, and it having a stereo fx loop, while the gigboard only does mono, is a huge bonus. It's just my opinion though, so whichever you think would work for you with your needs, would be the best choice!

    Every bleedin amp on this thing sound cak. I had my 1st gig, a wedding, with the MX5 and it sounded atrocious as it has done since I bought it 3 months ago, it was embarrassing. I have never had a worse sound in 20 years of playing live, and that's saying something considering the advancements since then, I used to use the POD original and it had a fab clean sound and a creamy overdrive with sustain for miles. What really bugs me is I bought the MX5 so as to avoid bringing an amp and halfway through the gig I ended up bypassing the MX5 completely and going with the AMP's perfect, clean, crunch and overdrive, the MX5 became just a very expensive tuner. I mean, I don't know or care what a "matchless" with a specific mic sounds like, I just want 3 sounds and to be able to duplicate and add modulation to them for different songs, but I don't want a mess of cables etc. Headrush really need to overhaul the MX5 completely there are too many options that they've completely overlooked the basic sounds most guitarist need. The layout is confusing so if you accidentally press the wrong combination of buttons with your feet, you're like "where the F am I??? " Live ! sounds or direction you have pressed are not clearly defined line6 tones have always been so easy and fast to dial in from scratch compared to the Headrush interface. The MX5 for me is a grave disappointment and money down the drain, I will be getting rid of it asap.

    I know what you mean, I’ve had my own issues with these “ do everything pedals “ I find them to be more “home use “ than live use. Hence I’m back to a valve amp, a delay pedal and a chorus. All you need .
