i chose buying the headrush instead of helix.. they both sound great i tried them both.. the reason i get he headrush is coz its easier to edit even while playing onstage. And it will save your time as well creating preset. Time is gold. U can save alot of time on the headrush.

my headrush is on the way. 3 issues with headrush 1. only one input. would be great to have 2 guitars but a passive splitter with vol knobs will do the trick 2. the 2nd expression pedal wont do both channel a/b i want this fabulous pedal on a keyboard stand by my face, i want a second exp pedal to switch from volume to delay level ext. 3. no external floor switch capability, unless midi will allow me to use a midi floor bank there is no way to have a separate floor switch board which mean s i have to keep my $1000.00 pedal with a touch screen on the floor- less than ideal.

This pedal blows the Helix away in many different ways. Don't let others influence you by saying otherwise. I've used Line 6 products for over a decade and what I have learned is that they have really go ideas, I mean the M13 was a total game changer) but have never been able to nail to key things. Distortion and the feel of their amp modelers like the PODs. Many times you listen to a guitar on a song and you just can't tell if that was an amp emulator or a real amp ( some times you can tell) but for the player they always say "those digital pedals don't reel right". I think Eleven Rack won this battle years ago when it came out. Do they feel like a real amp? No 100% but definitely better than a Line 6 product. The distortion is something that will quickly give away a digital pedal and a analog one or tube amp and I think the Eleven technology got very very close to the real deal. Can you have a tube amp that sounds like trash? yes.

Hello, I want to use the HR in simple mode pedalboard multi-effects. Would you recommend me between a Blackstar Artist 15 and a Fender Bassbreaker 15? Both have an effect loop (hence the fact of not moving towards a Vox AC15). Thank you in advance for your next return!

I just did a demo with the Headrush at my local GuitraCenter and if you can afford it it is $1000 dollars or more depending on the sales tax in your state. This is by far the best multifx pedal board that is out there. It is hands down the best because 1) It has every effect that is out there 2) It is super user friendly and you can play any song you want. 3) Instead of dropping a grand on all of these special effects pedals individually you can just get the Headrush. 4) Obviously I would try out all of these first before deciding which ones would be good for each individual song you are going to use them for. Get the best settings for each artist you are going to cover.

I’m still on the fence as to whether or not to go with individual boxes or a multi-unit, but one thing is for sure... HeadRush was brilliant to use the big touch screen. Methinks other manufacturers will do like-wise as it makes editing SO much easier. Good on ya, HeadRush!

I'm loving mine. I only had it a week and still learning tweaks etc. but they put a lot of thought into this board. I play guitar and bass thru it so twice the learning, Some of the stock sounds just need a little tweaking like eq, effect gain/cut adding/deleting a stomp etc, but some are pretty right on the way they are. The "Rock Bass" tone is John freakin Entwistle with new strings:),,,its that good! I'm running old P bass thru it and sounds like his Alembic thru Sunn's. Creating your own rig is easy, and amazing results. The best thing is user ease and functionality. Well actually the best thing was GC was running a sale and paid less than $900. Anyway AND, i got a kick out of this guy. I thought a little annoying at first, but started to grow on me after awhile and by the end,,,hell, he's my bud. From a Texan,, you're a good ol" bloke..

Thanks for the info! In your use of the HeadRush, how do you find the authenticity of clean to semi-clean and light breakup tones? I've heard tons of high gain settings but that ain't my thing. Do you run yours direct to the PA or to a traditional amp?

I LOVE this thing…BUT….. I’ve been playing with the Headrest Pedalboard for a week and absolutely love it. BUT it has a huge flaw (for me) that makes impossible for me to use on stage. If you could assign/save a saved loop to a “Rig” I’d buy this thing today. For me, I use a looper like a sampler sometimes to run a saved loop during a song. Since I can’t scroll through the saved loops & load them with your foot it means that between each song on stage I have to enable the looper section, bend down select & load the sample by hand. I have about 40 samples stored in a Jamman I just tap through for each song. I was thrilled to load them all in via USB / simple drag & drop, only to find out there was no way to access or load them with any of the 12 pedals :( Also, the fact that the looper switch is on the top far right and the record/start/stop are on the bottom far left is inconvenient too. If I want to quick add a little loop, jump back and play something over it it’s about 5 or 6 moves from either end of the pedal board back & forth. Hard to do on stage without looking like you’re playing hackysack, or wiping out. To start and stop a loop you have step to the left or cross your legs. Would be so great if they were next to each other. Other things that would make it perfect (for me) would be if the looper had a one time start single trigger setting. Also an XLR in for a mic would be epic. I could live without those things, but not having to load samples by hand each song. I really hope they can come up with an update that solves this problem. If so I’ll buy one immediately. I was so excited about this thing. So much this is the 1st time I’ve ever even written a review on anything. Other wise. Killer pedal, built like a tank. Wish I could make it work for my shows. - Cheers all - Dan

I bought the Headrush anyways after watching 50+ hours of pedalboard reviews in this price range. Very pleased with purchase. Using with Dual Headrush FRFR 112’s and Wolfgang Special Stealth. I own the fractal ax8 foot controller and don't get me wrong I love my boogie amps lol nothing will beat a tube amp but the fractal was crazy for a digital unit but expensive and a pain in the ass to use so one day a/b the Headrush vs fractal audio ax8 and not far off but where it kicked the fractals ass a monkey can use it so right there if its hard to program it becomes a expensive paper weight and another thing it comes with footpedal no extra cost and the sound cloud I believe it's free to download and share ir packages and has headphone jack also headrush only been out a year fractal been out a while and headrush has the best quadcore processor so can only get better and 2018 came out with reasonably priced frfr speakers in my opinion the fractals just has too much going on and I'm a guitar player not a geek and I think the fractal has just to much hype behind it digital is digital only meant to be a easier rig if you are playing a gig where you dont need all the heavy expensive gear and have decent tones and don't need a laptop to adjust a patch so to me Headrush is a win win to many things helix or fractal don't have.....

An 80' throwback can be just as good or better than a black metal or djent b.s, not saying I don't listen to that genra but to only listen to one type of rock or metal is monogamous. The Headrush pedalboard is designed to play all types of music, there are other KZread videos of the Headrush with more modern metal with Ola Englund demoing for example, check it out, no offense dude. In my case I play classic 80's metal, 90's metal to modern metal 2000's
