Headphones on!!🎧Cat 390F struggles a rough blast!💥Thunderous sounds of Heavy Metal vs Hard Rock!😍

Hardest blast pile on this project so far, and I miss my 5’th tooth!!🤪😅
See how I struggle to fill the bucket.. Every pass is a challenge, since “perfectly sized” rocks jam between my teeth and block the filling of the bucket..😝😄
The blast itself looks fine, but I was just unlucky with the size of the fractions..
When we build a rock foundation, we have strict requirements regarding the rock size that’s allowed in the various layers!😋 Here you can see how I pick rocks to large out, and send them to our breaker working close by! Too large rocks to load, get broken on spot before loaded!
Enjoy!🙏🙂

Hehe, one would at least have enough to do, if all this rock went to a crusher!!😅👍 I did a job in a quarry last summer, where they had a large stationary cone crusher! They loaded Euclid R130’s with a Komatsu 1250 there, hauling about 10 000 tons a day to the crusher!😋 I load between 10 000 and 15 000 tons a day, I imagine the lineup at the truck pit and a lot of idle time for me..🤪😅 The mobile crusher we have on site now, has even lower capacity. I don’t know exactly how much they crush each day, but from experience, I know similar crushers can process up to 4000 tons in a 12 hr shift!🙂

Hi bud!🙋‍♂️ Thank you for enjoying the start of it then!🙏 Hehe, I am aware of the fact that several - including myself - prefer to see videos with pure sound!😉 I do however have so many videos of me loading in a small time window. Have had several questions and request, regarding what techniques and plans I perceive to keep my production smooth and high.🤭😅 These two last videos are an attempt to show more of my operation, from before I build the bench, through how I advance into the pile and how I try to get my bucket full - every time!😋 A little hard to do that without engaging time lapse with the camera, as I here in two short videos captured about 5 hours of work! If you want sound, you should click on my channel 👉 videos 👇 then scroll 15 videos back in time 👉 to a video I called Headphones on!😉 That one has awesome sound of both engine and steel up against hard rock!!😋 Unless you already have seen it though..🤭😄 Thanks for watching and for taking your time to share your thoughts!🙏🤗 All the best back to you from Norway!🙂

This is a hard material great for making refined rock elements out of. However, that is not so nice to blast, and it seems like we found something like that in this blast..🤪😅 Higher density in the rock, makes it harder to blast. Thanks for watching this one as well!🙏😁

Hehe, there was several reasons that the result became what it was..😝😄 Entering science, when looking at rock with higher density than regular for this site, higher elevation of the blast, drill pattern and ignition timing for the blast.. 🤪 This blast was both too small, and at the same time too large! If they would load a smaller piece of the hill, the rock would be better after blasting, but the remaining rock face would probably be broken and hard to take on once more. They decided to load what they had explosives to fill, but it would be the best if the entire hill would have been blasted at once!😄 Their decision left me with this hard pile, and quite the challenge to remove all rock in a safe manner! After a long talk with the blast chief, I really hope that they will bring in one more slurry truck, if they face the same challenges in the future!😅 I made it in the end though, hard or nice rock, it needs to go either way..😝😂 Thanks for taking part in my struggle!🙏🤗
