Tested the Black/Grey one over the summer last year. It's a good allrounder but it's not very maneuverable and lacks feel. The 23 mm constant beam feels chunky... Gravity Pro is far more superior in every aspect IMO!

Paint on it is nice imo, I love black/white as it’s always in and looks clean, gloss or not, I like it. Probably do prefer my 2021 Speeds paint job though

My 360+ Black version had relatively higher swing weights (332 +/-), and then the 2022's had lower SWs (316 +/-) and now back to the 330s. I wonder if they are doing this intentionally or of this is quality control related. I did like the 2022 version because it is easy to go up with SW but down isn't happening.

Which one is better? Older speed MP or newer? Because cosmetic is very good of previous one.

Hi. What do you think between gravity tour and speed pro? I just tried the new ad speed pro and I was surprised how well I played and I am thinking to go for a 18 by 20 100 square inches. I am using at the moment cx 200 98 305 grams with 2 grams at 3 and 9 and protection tape around the head. Thanks

Hey @tennisnerd thank for the review. I see that the swingweight is quite similar to Gravity Pro 2023, do they feel the same? does it feel lighter and more maneuverable than the Gravity Pro?

Great review as always. Regarding the higher swing weight of the 2024 model, would purchasing the lightest version of this model result in a lower overall swing weight? Our local pro shop does not have a swing weight machine available.

Thanks! Sadly, just knowing the weight won't give you the information about the swing weight, since even the lightest racquet of the bunch might have the most mass in the head. If you can air swing the racquet before buying it, you should be able to feel which one is toughest to swing.

Does the speed pro make sense in a world where the gravity pro exists? Pros themselves usually either go Speed MP or GPro as far as I can tell

It’s a different racket to the gravity pro. GP has a much thinner beam and is slightly heavier, therefore more control oriented. The SP is more of an all rounder.

nice review! can you compare the pure strike 100 16x20 and the new speed mp? which are the main difference that I'll find after using a pure aero 100 2023?

The Pure Strike has a lower stock weight and swing weight which makes it easier to use. The new Speed MP had a higher launch angle than both Speed Pro and Pure Strike, which I why I don't gel with that one. I do like the Aero as I for some reason feel more control with that one than the Speed MP, but both the Pure Strike or Speed Pro seem to work better for my game overall thanks to the lower launch angle and directional control. Percept 100D is another good racquet in this style.

it amazes me how they use more or less the seem paintjob since 6+ years in the speed rackets.. they just shift the diagonal line and the lettering and let‘s go 🙈

Nice review! How would the new Speed Pro compare to the Gravity Pro (2022 version), and which type/level of player would benefit the most from each racquet? I know they are quite similar frames, but it would still be valuable to get your input on this.

I think the Gravity Pro is more low-powered and the thinner beam makes the sweet spot feel smaller to me. I think both are suited for attacking players who like to take the ball early from the baseline and dominated rallies. For more help, go Speed Pro, more control, go Gravity Pro.

Howdy! Thanks again for all the amazing content! I was wondering about the new cosmetics, maybe just early since launch, but Sinner is using the previous one, Novak the "special edition", I have seen one player so far with the new looks, maybe the paint feeling - reason why some players are not convinced yet? Any thoughts, Sensei? Have a great one!

Thanks! Yeah, I mean paint is very personal and the feeling of the new one can be a divider, but the pro stocks should come in their standard paint and just the design of the new one, so it shouldn't affect the pros.

If you have to suggest me a frame as I hit a lot flat shots and my game is similar to novak. I am looking for racket that moves quickly and fast and I don't hit the ball out. I am confused between this and head speed 2022 and Babolat strike the one which theim uses. Also is ot better than 2022 version.

  • @Tennisnerd

I prefer this one, I feel a bit more connected to the feel of this racquet, but that is my personal taste. Playability-wise they are quite close, but the lower static weight of the 100D and slightly lower swing weight are two benefits.

  • @Tennisnerd

It wasn't very noticeable, as I still ended up with a 32.4 cm balance strung with an overgrip. So quality control might sometimes make it tough to detect changes. Overall, I think it's a good change.

Don't remember ever seeing Jonas smack the felt off the balls like this, impressive 👏! ...but i digress. WTF IS WRONG W HEAD! Why isn't this (or isn't there) an 18x19!?! I'm using the 2022. It is a really great frame but why not fix it! Everything Mr. Nerd is saying is true of the 22 edition as well. I had to use a square poly to get any spin. I struggle with high spin players w it cause the tight pattern + round string gives as much spin as a pickleball paddle. I wasn't expecting a Head Nole Origin this year, but what a waste of an update! No way Nole endorses this (let alone use it).
